Edit in reply to owners response. 1) I'm not a "mate", 2) I'm not interested in getting all of my money refunded - I still gave you 4 stars even though I wanted to give you 3, and at the end of the day, I enjoyed the food. Genuinely though, would you have checked the total price of my order? Probably not. Hindsight is a wonderful thing though, and on this, we'll probably have to settle and agree to disagree. 3) As mentioned, I appreciate the refund was given, and that you added an extra garlic naan. 4) It's good you've corrected your pricing, but your website price is still different to what you invoiced me in person. For the same order, the total is $88.60 on your website, not $80.60 in person. I'm simply highlighting this to future customers who may not see any benefit in ordering online, and instead save themselves money by ordering over the phone or in person for collection.

Mixed response trying this new place for the first time, but overall, the experience and food was good enough for a solid 4 stars.

Why it didn't make it to 5 stars:

1. There seems to be three different pricing. One for online orders via their website, one for takeaway in person within their POS system, and one on their menu in person for dine in. It pays to check your receipts as I was overcharged $5. This place has been open for a couple of weeks or longer now, so imagine how many customers have been caught out unknowingly. Luckily I raised this with the staff, otherwise they would have gotten away with it. I'm told this is being corrected 19/09/22 which I hope is the case, and one of the staff provided a complimentary garlic naan for the error (as well as a refund of the overcharged amount).

2. The person taking my order didn't appear to be interested in doing that, nor did he have a notepad to write down what I wanted until mid-way ordering where he stopped to get one as he couldn't remember the three items (two butter chicken, two plain naan, one onion bhaji, one chicken noodles).

The food: Mild butter chicken was ok. Needed something more as it felt a little bland or that it was missing the rich taste a butter chicken would normally have, but it paired well with the plain naan and garlic naan.

Onion bhaji to my surprise, was more of a battered onion patty, rather than deep fried onion clusters which I normally have from other restaurants. The sauce with the onion bhaji was delicious and the onion bhaji itself was very nice.

Chicken noodles - very well done. Full of flavour, massive portion and tasted even better the next day.

Definitely keen to give this...

It was a lovely evening, we decided to take our dinner at Chef restaurant, the waiter was attentive took our orders on time and the atmosphere was spectacular. Service was outstanding gave us warm plates as we waited for our food to be served. The restaurant manager gave a bowl of salad and papadam on the house, we really appreciate the hospitality.Thanks for making our day. The goat curry was absolutely amazing rate it 10/10 finger licking good and the butter naan was soft and tender. However, well it’s my opinion mutton biryani could have tasted more flavoured with spices as I felt it was a bit dry and just missed a dept of flavour. Moreover, I felt more cheese could have been added to the cheese naan, the feeling of eating stretchy cheese naan would have contributed to a better outcome in terms of the taste. Overall, I had a wonderful experience dining at Chef restaurant. The items on the menu are budget friendly compared to other places. Cant wait to try different cuisines on...

Experience Exquisite Cuisine! Unforgettable Flavors!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant with my cousin's (Suhas P) family, as it came highly recommended by him. The food at this establishment exceeded all expectations, with impeccable quality, delightful aromas, and visually appealing presentations. Although the service was a bit slow, we soon realized that the food was prepared freshly, justifying the wait. The incredible taste of the dishes made us forget all about the delay. Additionally, they served us a continous supply of mouth-watering chutney alongside the entrees.

The servers warmly greeted us and assisted with our order, even offering recommendations when they noticed our indecisiveness. The paneer tikka was absolutely outstanding, and their homemade kulfi was truly divine. And what a sight it was to see Chicken Rahra sizzling on a sizzler plate!

I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning for...
