Howick Domain — Attraction in Howick

This is a great little playground for kids, could do with updating but I believe this is under consideration. Our grandkids love in down there, lots of space to run around, generally kept quiet tidy, but the council should make sure their grass cutting contractors use the grass catcher as it's a real mess when they don't do this. It must be hell for the parents whose children play there team sports down there. Has become better after a period of rain, as before it was always a real bog so the drainage has improved. The council really though needs to remove the cricket bowling nets, properly drain the area and put new nets in, this is a very popular and extremely well utilized facility nearly all year round, but this small area is unusable for quite some...

Howick Domain is like a center hub of family activity in Howick. Rugby and Soccer Fields grace the winter scene. Local public toilets available during normal business hours. Used well by locals walking their dogs and needing space to run, the domain also serves as a great venue for casual touch rugby, cricket and casual basketballers sharing a hoop during summer months. Great for joggers, walkers, dog walkers, pram walkers and everyone needing space to spread. Locals love this park! The junior Cricket, rugby league, soccer, Frisbee, you name it, it all happens here! The children's play area is very well used. Dog walking, basketball, some skating, small bore rifle shooting, brass band, tennis, this place is always busy. Well maintained by the council, this area serves a lot of different interests.
