Today’s India — Restaurant in Howick

Aside from being really nice people, the meals here are a must try if you want to try something more than just the usual run of the mill Indian meals. After growing somewhat tired of the volume approach some near by places have offered, I decided to try these guys a while back and glad I did. I’ve tried a good range of their dishes now and they’re all really tasty, thoughtfully prepared and use fresh ingredients - which makes a notable difference to flavour! The chefs have obviously taken their time to create their own thoughtful take on each dish, which for me has made it a pleasure to work through their menu. Being an Indian, I have finally found a restaurant serving good Indian food! Deepak the owner has always gone the extra mile to adjust to our taste. Always very friendly, courteous, positive and humble.

I have also found the Indo Chinese food flavor and taste to be very close to the food I ate in Mumbai India. And missed it so much for the last 20 years!!! WOW& GREAT!!!!

I have just moved in the same area from the last week and have found Today's India to be a convenient Kitchen for our taste! Tll we start cooking at home as well!!

This was hands down the worst Indian takeaway Ive had the misfortune to eat! The mixed platter was average apart from the kebab which was a shrivelled dry lump. The real issue was my chicken Madras. I ordered medium hot. My friend ordered mild butter chicken. The madras was so mild and lacking in flavour that I had to pour on salt and tamarind sauce to choke down the few mouthfuls that i managed before giving up.
