Very annoying experience tonight but I'm giving two stars due to nice pizza and no issues whatsoever until tonight. This was tonight's experience and I'd like further dialogue from management really.
I ordered the pizza for delivery exactly how I always do explaining where our house is in the section of houses and the gate code in the section on delivery instructions.
When I had not had any phonecall (as always occurred before) and it was 15 minutes late I phoned the pizza hut. They told me it had already been delivered. I said I never heard from them. I then found the my order on the door step which they said was left there at 805pm. The delivery was scheduled for 830 and it was now 845. It was stone cold.
They said the driver knocked on the door and no one answered so they left it there. Neither my partner nor I heard a knock and nonetheless we had not clicked contactless delivery or had any phone contact or even a text to confirm any delivery had occured . This would be what we d as would be expect even if contactless had been selected.
The person on the phone could not understand whatsoever why I'd expect to be handed the pizza or to expect a phone call since on delivery instructions I had said where the house was and the gate code. It was as if they took my saying the house was first on the right and the gate code (as I always write) to mean leave it on the doorstep.
I said I wanted the pizza delivered and handed to me I ordered and to deliver again. After arguing they agreed to make my order again for me to pick up so I did this and agreed I'd write in delivery instructions in future to call when they arrive. They said they couldn't deliver as no drivers available.
So just to be clear if you are ordering a delivery from this pizza hut they will knock at your door (if they actually did in fact) and if you don't answer they will leave your order on your door step without any phonecall or notification and think this is okay oh and also do this perhaps 25 minutes before the agreed delivery time. Tonight's service was plain and simple unacceptable. I'd like more word from management. This has not been an issue before.

Read moreI was very disappointed with our pizza tonight. I ordered online at 5:15 with the earliest delivery time available being at 6:30pm. I received a text at 6:34pm to say my pizza was on the way. I clicked the link and it showed that the driver was 2 mins away. I went and waited outside. A few minutes passed and I checked the link again and it showed that the driver was heading in opposite direction. I tired ringing the store multiple times and no one answered. My pizza has now arrived over an hour late. I complained to the delivery driver that my pizza will be cold and he laughed about it. The website dropped part of our address so we rang to confirm it would be delivered to the right house. They delivered it to the incorrect house and because no one was home there they left it outside our neighbours house and did not contact us. When we contacted them to try and find our dinner which was now 20mins late, we were told it "was on the way" At 30mins late they admitted it was delivered at the wrong address and we're incredibly unhelpful and then hung up.
