An unexpectedly high-quality restaurant. Whether in Wellington or Auckland, I have never encountered such a unique, understated and elegant restaurant. If it wasn't only open Thursday-Saturday, I would eat here every night. The price of the restaurant is very cost-effective(value for money) for its high quality of food, service, and decoration.
The most unique thing is “SALMON SASHIMI”, its taste is very special, it is difficult to tell which culture it is integrated with. There are very few dishes that my son never forgets. This is one of a kind.
DUCK SIU MAI, the skin of the siomai is well-prepared and elastic.
SLOW COOKED LUMINA LAMB SHOULDER, the meat is very soft and glutinous, and the juice is well prepared.
TROPICAL WHITE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE is also great.
The presentation is exquisite and thoughtful.
There were a large number of guests that night, and the staff was very busy. It was obvious that some staff were nervous. But still able to take good care of guests. At the same time, the dining standards are also very stable. The whole team, great!
It’s very discerning to find such a chef and service team! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Invercargill is charming...

Half an hour later I had to call on a waitress, her reply was; I actually work in the bar but I will take your order. We had no water until asked, no menus until asked and most of all in general no smiles to welcome us. I was very disappointed with the service. When eventually our food arrived we were feeling very disappointed, but I have to say the food was fantastic, my wife and myself were really taken by the blends of spices and the presentation. We run a very busy store ourselves and if my staff reacted to our customers in the way we were treated;...
Read moreWhat a place!! Incredible food, friendly service and a brilliant atmosphere for a Tuesday evening. In a group of 3, we shared the beef wontons, cauliflower bites, pork bao buns, fried chicken, fried rice and the green curry. Incredible flavours and absolutely delicious. We sampled a few cocktails too - a gin one, and two dessert ones - the tiramisu and the Hokey Pokey ones. DELICIOUS. I cannot fault any part of our evening, and could not recommend dining here more highly. Ford (the manager) and his team were friendly, professional and attentive without being overbearing. Meld, you...
