Thursday 4th Sept 2025. Here this evening with my wife for my 60th actually. First time to be here and was booked by my wife. Initial impression was "hmmm this looks nice" however things just got better. Finally , Invercargill has a restaurant with real class and panache. Im usually quite cynical and judgemental when it comes to restaurants and don't go out of my way to rate them highly. They have to be EXCEPTIONAL to get 5 stars from me. The one other place I ever gave 5 stars to was the Bungalow in Queenstown which was very high end , fine dining. This place (EunA) is much the same. I wouldnt take kids here. But if (as a couple) you wanted to eat at a place with class and enjoyment then I highly recommend it. Menu had somewhat of a Mediterranean theme in part. The food presentation was absolutely impeccable and the food itself was excellent. Chips with the steak mildy overcooked but not badly so. Steak was cooked beautifully as was my wife's beef wellington. All up i cannot rate the food more highly. The two young ladies tending (Mica & Natasha) - you were excellent and a true asset to this establishment. Many thanks to all the staff there tonight. Cost wise it wasn't that much more than you'd expect. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me and I can assure i have already put the word out as Invercargills finest. Long may this place function and provide a formidable and excellent...
Read moreCould not fault our Euna experience. First time dining and we chose to try the $88 set menu. Starts with a small taster each which just left us wanting more, its called the Arrival, i got a small cube of pork with cucumber and my wife doesnt eat pork so they did salmon for her. Next up a really nice Bruschetta before kicking into entrees which i got the most tender crusted lamb cutlet, my wife got the Coconut & Coriander Ceviche and said it was amazing. Mains she got Fettuccine Cacio E Pepe, buttery and smooth, she thought it was great, while i got Risotto Frutti De Mare, a risotto jam packed with mussels, prawns and squid, all presented nicely in a paua shell. My only complaint is prawns with tails buried in risotto, its a me thing, id rather have them ready to eat, certainly wont mark them down on this. Also maybe a slice of lemon to drizzle over would have been great. Speaking of lemon we both got Lemon Posset for dessert, and WOW, so well presented and tasted fantastic. It was like a lemon custard type creme brulee set in a half cut lemon . ... stunning way to finish this meal. Wine was great, staff fantastic apart from singing me happy birthday lol. We will be back, and...
Read moreLoved everything about this place , as someone who has worked in the industry for a very long time, was pleasantly surprised to see a restaurant doing things a little different to the so called (Norm) in Southland. The 5 corse set menu here costs $88 per head ,set menus are not often seen in our small town. It may seem pricey but in my opinion, definitely worth it!! I love seeing people working passionately in hospitality, this is the core ingredient for a successful restaurant. From the ambience to the smiling & joke filled host (Ben) to the sound of shakers in the back , watching head chef work the pass. Felt like like a world far away from Invercargill. To finish our 5th corse , we were pleasantly surprised to see the head chef join our table for a complimentary house made lemon cello shot to finish the evening . Well done Euna , I hope people get down and enjoy this sweet little gem ! Well my photos don’t do it any...
