Devil Burger — Restaurant in Invercargill City

Burger was average at best, the patty and buns were dry which is a shame because I'm sure it would've tasted better if it didn't sit in the warmer for almost half an hour, jammed in alongside 15 other burgers. The chefs seemed to be onto it, banging out orders every couple minutes but the front of house seemed to struggle catching up, unable to prioritize their workload - e.g. wiping tables and floors instead of dispatching the 15-20 burgers sitting in the warmer. There were about 4 or 5 people that came and ordered after us that got their burgers before us so I went up to the counter to enquire the ETA of our burgers. There were 2 front of house staff behind the counter, one of them snuck out to the kitchen and the other one was drying out pint glasses, completely ignoring me for a couple minutes. Unless she had the memory of a dory fish, she should've known that I was a customer that ordered much before the other people she served. When I finally got to speak with her, she grabbed them out of the warmer and gave them to me without any apologies, a thanks or even a grunt. Nothing. Like I said, the chefs were fine they seemed like they're onto it but the front of house staff are completely clueless and need training on basic customer service, which is sad really considering 90% of it is...

I normally don't leave reviews but I had to on this. WAY over priced for what you get. Though i would treat myself as im down in invercargill for work. Had a look on the website and thought 'thats looks pretty good'. Boy was i wrong. The burgers on the menu board looked delicious. But what i got made me think how can you charge sooo much for sub par food. They claim to be a gourmet burger place. But its is far from it. Burger bun was not toasted, it was like they took it out of the bag and slapped in the ingredients. so the bun soaked up a lot of sauce, and there was alot of sauce, Chicken bits were small and lacked flavor. Chips were soggy and small. Also got the salt and pepper squid, and at $14.99 for 8 small bits it is extremely expensive, not only that but they were luke warm. Spending almost $50 on a so-called gourmet food. I would have expected alot more then the mediocre food I received. Reburger is a lot cheaper, more filling and more gourmet then devil burger. Definitely will not be back nor would...

Went in on Valentines day, due to this I expected a decently long wait time (I've worked in burger restaurants and understand the pressure of having a very big rush). I placed my order which was quoted a 40 minute wait which was bang on. I was happy waiting as I was informed about the wait time and was expecting it. What i wasn't happy about was the staffs attitude. The lady who looked like she was running the show was very impatient and minorly rude and when informing me about the 40 minute wait time which i replied was fine, she gave me a very unwelcoming look. The shift looked under staffed, and many of the staff avoided eye contact. I've worked in some very busy burger restaurants, and the one thing a good store manager teaches you to do is to be polite, understanding and as helpful as you can be no matter how busy. Burger was also very dry. Don't recommend going in on days like Valentine's day. And most likely won't return due...
