Pita Pit Glenfield Mall — Restaurant in Kaipātiki

This pita pit is an absolute shocker. Franchises store and the owner was full of attitude and extremely rude to say the least. We were there with the kids wanting to by chips and dips, as well as other items, there was little to no one at the shop when it got to our turn to order. He asked very impolitely as to what we want, really negative and unfriendly manner. I didn’t mind it at first but when we said chips and dips for the kids and this is where the shocking experience begins. He asked what sauce and I turned to ask the kids what sauce did they want, immediately the kids were picking the sauce. But without giving us any time, he loudly and rudely said “hurry up” with a really foul attitude, we were surely shocked and stunned. I politely asked if I heard correctly and he mumbles on saying we are wasting his time and there’s other customers to serve, yet there was no one behind us and we waited in line for 10min ourselves to get to our turn. I wasn’t happy and wasn’t going to be quiet at this point so I, still kept my tone low, and asked why was he been so rude and whether he understood what customer service is? I asido asked if I could get the manager’s details at the time, He replied with event louder tone of voice than before and start going off at me saying customers shouldn’t waste his time, he was loud and it actually shocked some of his customers that was in line before prior. He added that there’s no manager and he was the owner so meaning that there’s no consequences for his action. We would have walked away without going through with the chips and dips but the kids was hungry and they wanted that item. What’s more ridiculous is that he didn’t even listen to the sauce we actually ordered and gave us the wrong ones. Upon correcting him he then instructed us to leave and go quickly. The kids who’s 9 and 12 doesn’t understand the concept of customer service but even they walked away asking why the man was so impolite and treating people without basic manners. Needless to say, not going back there and would like to share this unfortunately sad experience from this pita pit store. I’m hoping head office will see this and make contact with me as I tried emailing feedback directly but no...

No idea about gluten free!!! This was very disappointing. Of the many options for food in the Glenfield mall I immediately plumped for pita pit having had magnificent service for gluten free options at the Lincoln road franchise. However, the staff here really need some training on what gluten free means. I explained several times that I was a coeliac and could they please separate the ingredients etc (as they do at other branches, and I assumed it was standard) the staff had No Clue. They didn't even have any gf pitas they guy had to go off somewhere and get it, the girl ripped the bread so much opening it. And didn't take the salads out from seperate containers as you would for a coeliac. When I explained she still didn't get it this was so disappointing from what I expected. She offered to make me another one but I doubted her capabilities and understanding so I said don't worry, I had already waited over 20 mins and the rest of my family had finished eating. Won't go here again thanks ill stick with the franchises that know what they're doing not...

Ordered via uber eats - x3 of the selections I had picked were left out, when I called he called me a liar and offered no resolution. Will never be ordering from them again, or highly recommend if you do to see them making it with your own eyes.
