An embarrassment of an establishment. The service at this place was terrible before, then the decor was done up and it reopened as Gipsy Moth. Repeated issues with orders and service here. This place is currently having a crack at cabinet hot breakfast like you would get in a cafeteria, assuming the quality was adequate I placed my order, over cooked scrambled eggs sat in copious amounts of cream, they lifted up a scoop of egg lump dripping with cream, it was disgusting I asked to please not be served that and instead requested a standard fried egg and that I was happy to pay extra for it - despite having a kitchen onsite, my simple breakfast order request was refused, the staff actually look bamboozled at the fact that i asked for a mere fried egg and bacon. The best was yet to come, 20 minute wait on a coffee whilst the staff looked at me and chatted amongst themselves. Whilst it was 0745 there were only a handful of customers and thus is was hardly busy.
As evidenced by other sub par reviews - an underwhelming theme is consistent at the Gipsy Moth. After over 2 years the same issues are still issues here, to management of whoever makes the decisions if running a half decent business is too hard give the prime food retail spot to someone else, particularly let down as this is a sister company to some other rather decent food places...
Read moreI usually pop in here for a pre-flight drink when travelling domestically, and the service has always been fine, until yesterday when we attempted a visit and were refused entry based on my boyfriends medical exemption document. It's an official certificate that allows the same freedom's to those that have natural immunity as those who have had the jab.
The manager was belligerent and uneducated, her complete unapologetic refusal based on a flawed knowledge, "call the letter writer" we said indicating Ashley Bloomfields name on the paper. Unprepared to investigate we offered to spend our money elsewhere. Maybe the MOH should advise the hospitality sector of acceptable vax pass documents aside from the QR code vaccinated people have, regardless of their failings the fault here falls with an egotistical airport cafe manager that should have a lesson on what Hospitality actually means and treat each person equally. Most people would visit this establishment because there is very little other choice, but there is at least one other licensed server here and that is where I will go from now on, and if you don't like bigots, then you...

Hi there. I had breakfast at the airport today. I didn't want to give a bad review but wanted to give some feedback. My mum ordered a pot of tea. It came out in a takeaway cup. When I said we wanted a pot the girl said they had no pots. I pointed to 2 pots on the table next to us. She replied oh, there's no clean ones and walked off. I ordered a coffee that never arrived. Apparently it wasn't ordered. It might be helpful if the server repeats the order back so this doesn't happen. My mum also ordered toast. The waitress said mum said she didn't want toast. Which was incorrect. Again, calling the order back would have solved this. The waitress went and got some toast. Unfortunately it was only cooked on one side. I hope you find this feedback constructive, like I said, I didn't want to write...
