BurgerFuel Mt Wellington — Restaurant in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

My partner and I came here for dinner and half way through her burger she found that her burger bun had mold in it, which is no big deal mold can grow quite fast especially on bread. We told the staff the issue and not only the person who took our order, but the chef and the rest of the staff came out to say sorry, gave us our money back and gave her a new burger. Immediately the staff went out and checked all the buns and checked all the other customers burgers which luckily didn't have the same issue. My partner had a voucher from 5 years ago for free chips and none of the staff even recognized the voucher but decided to give it to us anyways! You guys are absolutely awesome for dealing this issue in such a professional manner. This should be used as an example for how customer service should be done.

P.S. This happened a few months ago. Came in the other day and remembered to write this review xD. The burgers were delicious as always. Keep up the good work...

WORSE take out experience in recent memory.

We ordered our lunch on line 45-minutes in advance. Arrived to find out that our order was not ready and they required another 5-10 minutes. The reason given was that they had a big order to fill. Understandable I suppose. 20 minutes later, still no order. To exacerbate the frustration, people who walked in and ordered after I arrived, received their food before I did. I was tempted to just cancel our order, but was told another 5- minutes... So over an hour after I made the on-line order we get our food.

Once we get home, we discover they short changed us, with the wrong order. We called up immediately, and was told the manager was out and he'd be in contact with us about a refund. Three days later, nothing. I'd like to think this kind of terrible service doesn't happen often. The fact they didn't try to rectify their mistakes pretty much sums up the overall service of this place.

In comparison to other burgerfuels I've gone to it didnt have the same quality with this place. I dont know if this was a one-off bad day for this place because the reviews look positive in comparison to my experience there. Ordered thick shakes, burgers and fries, thick shakes were more like milk consistency and had to send them back. The burgers werent too bad but it looked like a rush job because it arrived quite busy which was odd considering there wasnt a lot of people in the building. Fries were okay, not expecting any spectacular but it just tasted as if you bought chips from a store and waited for an hour till you ate them. The overall meal wasnt terrible but it wasnt as good as the other Burgerfuel places I've been to. No hate, I just hope that this was an off-day for them and hopefully the quality is a bit better...
