I came here on the recommendation of an Indian acquaintance, as I am a fan of Indian culinary delights I decided to give it a go. My hope is that the feedback provided here will be reviewed by the owner/management to seriously consider on how to improve the various aspects of the business.
Food: 2 out of 5 Butter prawns: the gravy/sauce was too sweet - it's as if the chef who made this didn't "taste" it as he/she made it? I know a lot of ethnic dishes sometimes have to be localised to Kiwi tastes - but surely, there has to be a harmonious balance of flavours so you don't feel like you're just consuming some 'sauce' overloaded with sugar. Please for the love of the Indian cuisine food god... "TASTE" your food before serving!
Mushroom masala: this was close to being a really good dish in my view, my biggest disappointment was that I got maybe 5 very small "slices" or cuts of mushroom in here - I was expecting to enjoy much more mushrooms in this dish so the mushroom flavours can mix better with the sour notes of the Masala. I liked the taste but it became incredibly disappointing when there were no more mushrooms to enjoy and all that was left was the sauce which isn't exciting on it's own as I was left hunting and digging through to find if there were any morsels of mushrooms left. If this dish can be cooked with more generous amounts of mushrooms I think I will back for more.
Presentation: We eat with our eyes. Maybe this is a commonality with a lot of Indian places I visit, majority of them don't pay attention to how the dish looks like before it's consumed - the lack of coloured veges used in the dishes doesn't make it look appealing enough. Visually it wasn't off putting with just a single colour as you open the takeaway box so don't get me wrong - I'm just saying for the sake of the business establishment that if you want to improve your products, have a think about how to make it look a little more attractive in the eyes of your customers.
Service/Customer Experience: Everyone has a thing to say about it, not every business is going to get it right and customers will just vote with their feet and wallets whether they choose to come back or not. I ordered my meal via the Order Meal portal with instructions saying i didn't need rice, but still I got rice anyway because the staff didn't bother reading the comments. I asked the front staff why I got rice (not wanting to make a big deal out of it but just curious why no one bothered to pay attention?), he just seem to blame the chef/cook.. which is just wrong because I came at a time when there were no customers dining in and it really didn't seem busy at all. Okay, so let's say the chef made a mistake and didn't read the comments - but it doesn't mean the front staff who packed the meal into a bag and stapled my receipt with my instructions clearly written should just ignore what was...

Could you please stop passing judgment whether people intoxicated or not that’s completely unacceptable ….you don’t have answers on what your staff did and now you just start playing blame games….in terms of 20 years of your hospitality i think you still don’t know how to serve customers may be you all should take classes for that…it was not us who harassed your employee but we got harassed by them don’t make false comments to just save your restaurant...
Read moreI don't know what's happened. We have been a long time customer of this store via uber eats and tonight when we ordered there was just no love in the food . The lollipop chicken was nearly teeth breaking hard and dry, there was no yummy sauce that used to come with it, the naan was burnt and the butter chicken was nice but nowhere near what it used to be. We feel really disheartened by what we received tonight which is such a shame because I know they can do better. :-( might be a while before we order again which is a shame because we ALWAYS look forward to this meal usually :-( guys what happened?? $40 and sadly it just wasn't worth...
