Daruma Sushi — Restaurant in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

If I could give zero star I would, just looking for trying a new restaurant and this one was absolutely SHlT to be honest. The staff are full of young boys and girls, they always look tired and mad. There was a short lady who always stare at us, she gave us a uncomfortable feeling like she doesn't wanna serve us. Everyone look absolutely stressed out I don't know why is this, the company is really horrible, the staff are unfriendly I don't know if this is how your boss train you guys. Also everything is ella expensive, 2 piece of rice and tinny meat is like 7 dollar. The booth was really dirty, staff seems like rushing through and not even clean it properly. Also it's really annoying how they are rushing through instead of providing a good service, they only want the money and rushing. The ramen is absolutely a scam, 2 thin of pork and full of noodles and that's about $10. Also when I ask for some more tissues and wasabi, the short lady was unsatisfied. She wanted me to pay more extra, other shops would give ketch-up for free. Luckily the other young staff apologies and gave us a fair explanation. To be honest this business is horrible, everything expensive, the staff are unfriendly...

We were looking forward to trying a different sushi train restaurant and were very dissatisfied at the service and lack of options. The staff were made up of very young men who seemed to be congregating in the kitchen and out of sight, this made them hard to find when we needed something, when they did appear they had to be waived down each time and were sniggering the whole time when serving us, and we felt like we were bothering them whenever we had to call them over. no manager or supervisor seemed to be around. The food was ok but there was a lack of food on the “train” so had to order everything from the servers. The taste was fine, nothing amazing, and the portions were quite small. We really wanted to like this place and we’re looking to trying somewhere new but will not be coming back unfortunately as this ended up being an expensive and...

This used to be a go-to option when I visit Sylvia Park. Unfortunately I won't return again from the horrendous service I received on Friday. Sat down to eat, the table was not even wiped, there's rice and mentaiko all over the table and bench. When asked the staff to wipe it down, she swiped it furiously and got the running on me - no apologies from her. All the serving staff looked so mad and displeased - genuinely made me so uncomfortable. Got my order wrong, and all I got was a "I could care less" expression from staff. Food quality has also down graded - "sushi rice" is just plain white rice. For the amount that was charged I expected better quality food. The careless attitude is prominent -they can't even stack the sushi properly on the train belt, I actually witnessed one of the plates fall of the belt and onto the table...
