McDonald's Glen Innes — Restaurant in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

McDonad's Glen Innes is sub-par at best. Going to the Glen Innes McDonald's is what put me off eating at any of the franchises in the first place. Just this Mother's Day, I was heading down with my uncle to get some food for my Grandmother and Aunty because it was close and "quick". It took 45 minutes, 2 remakes (because I insisted that mine be remade, considering I had to wait 20 minutes for the rest of the order) and a few raised voices before we left with what we originally came for. Not to mention the fact that we later found out parts of the order were missing.

I've also been to the McDonald's and had mouldy Big Mac buns turn up. But it's just the tip of the iceberg here, folks. God forbid you have to take something back; you're often in need of tent and sleeping bag because the length of wait for anything to get done there is heinous. That's all assuming you don't get smacked with a sudden profane diatribe from some officious little 'staff supervisor'.

In a nutshell, the staff are often rude, the food comes out looking like the cook's 2-year-old child made it before eating it and regurgitating it back onto your tray; and that's all assuming you get the food before Christmas comes around. We found corroded coke on our frozen drink containers and ar first it smelt like blood. We contacted the staff manager to inform her and went in to show her that we also got cold French fries dried up chicken nuggets and the frozen pineapple was mixed with frozen. It was shocking service, very poor customer service and the staff obviously don't care or value there customers. The staff manager thanked us for bringing it to her attention and when they investigated found the frozen coke machine had a Crack and was leaking causing corrosion and had been like that for some time. Come on if the staff were onto it, or even cared valuing there job don't you think they would have spotted the problem and fixed it. They staff need to become trained in customer service, work ethics, work responsibilities, and being able to handle and prepare food and to definitely listen to there customers. We ordered 4 frozen drinks and got 5. We asked for two frozen cokes and two frozen pineapple we got four frozen cokes which two of them had a splash of frozen pineapple. Grabbing a light afternoon tea for my son who’s very excited for the shaker fries. There’s NO table delivery even though you choose it which shows as an option on the order machine. My son found out there is no chicken salt for the shaker fries after we pick the food up, and he went to ask for a bag of the chicken salt. There is NOT any staff member in this shop talked to him at the counter during 10 minutes waiting, came back to me looking disappointed ! I had to go to counter again to find out what is happening in that kitchen. After I called a staff to ask, she told me that they DON’T have any chicken salt so they didn’t serve. I mean, at least you have to mentioned it when customers pick up the food especially you have charged more on that. I got the refund for that salt but still won’t come to this shop any more.
