Just a number. After going to lunch with a large party I felt like we were just a number, to the staff and a bit of a nuisance. It started as we approached our table at 1pm. We were told we had to hurry as we "only had 45 minutes" to eat, as they were going to start clearing the buffet. Then when one of our party asked to take a slice of cake home, that her son couldn't finish, the staff member informed her in doom-laden tones with wild rolling eyes, that it was not allowed, as the restaurant would be fined $10,000 dollars. Siting the "new" Health and Safety regulations was just wrong. Not legally correct and giving the impression that the staff are using it as an excuse to not be bothered. Lazy staff are not a good look, the restaurant needs better legal counsel, if that's the information they have been given. Consumer CEO Suzanne Chetwin says doggy bags are a custom not a right and it is up to the restaurant to decide but once a person took food away from the eatery it was their problem if the food gave them food poisoning. Beyond amazing! The location, food, atmosphere, scenery, presentation and most importantly, the service provided an incredible experience. Not just myself, but also my family left the restaurant extremely satisfied. Staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The main view of the restaurant overlooks the lake and mount. There is plenty of carpark and easy to access. If you’re early to your seating, they have a waiting lounge with access to the bar. The food was delicious and their buttery dinner rolls were amazing! The restaurant has a warm and intimate atmosphere which is perfect for all kinds of occasions, whether casual, romantic or celebratory. The place is very clean including the restrooms. We had my mothers birthday lunch here today together with my sister and myself and our 6 children ages between 8 & 12... Such a lovely spot - relaxed and so pretty to look over the lagoon... The restaurant team working were fantastic, very obliging and so friendly... they even gave us a few chips for the table for the kids.. Food was a fabulous selection and the children loved it.... they really had so much to eat and it was no bother at all for the restaurant team regardless of the mountain of plates from our table... The highlight for our Children was David who was on the bar.. the nicest man, he chatted with our kids and made them feel special with pretend cocktail drinks and lollies... he was amazing!
