KFC Tahunanui — Restaurant in Nelson

food average but seems to be more related to its change of staff who either dont want the job which shows or worse still dont care and are incapable of holding down that job. if you go when its quiet you will have no worries and get your quality kfc meal..but chips may be cold n stale if its been quiet for too long as a pose to cooking fresh or even refrying... however not even really worth goin at busy hour as they either lack the staff numbers or maybe just compitince to deal with so many orders in the expected "fast food" amount of time. its looking like a really bad review but its not meant to be. i still go there occasionly basically from my chefs point of veiw happy staff = better work output and consitncy =more customers regulary=more people employed to cope= less stress on staff again n hopefully all stay happy. i say take pride in watever you do n if they turn there staffing issues which is not any person in particular around they could be a 4star kfc 😅 not sure when it went downhill but it needs to be fixed from the top down as im sure once upon a time it was great... the top dog needs to start over n put in the work required to get things back on track. starting with staff now. covering busier times and eventually increase... it will reflect in there profit eventually anyway but what would i know i cant see the books... just google and go inbetween busy hours or just before or after. avoid peak and dead. #longest...

Look, I often don't do bad reviews, I try my best to say that places are good and give good rep, but...

...I've gotta say, I had a really unfortunate experience. The moment I arrived, I was greeted with a queue of cars trailing out the front, and a line of people at the register that stretched to the front door. (Oh boy, here we go. Time to wait.)

I stood in line, waiting roughly 10 minutes while the girls behind the cash register took one to two orders at a time, then assembled the order, then hand out the order and rinse and repeat. Understandably, one of the girls were on training, which is fair, but there were (and I counted) 7 people working, and only two people at the front area. Of those two, roughlu 90% of the time nobody was taking customer orders.

Finally, we reach the most exciting part, I get to place my order! Hooray! I place the order (Popcorn chicken meal and slider, the usual) and I watch her leave the till (Mind you, there's about 10 people behind me) to make my order. I get my food, sit down, and eat. The drink, popcorn chicken and chips are like every other KFC (oily, but good oily. The greasy food you'd expect at fast food joints), but the slider. I don't know how, but the chicken was just overcooked. The aioli was missing (I gave up on getting it fixed, it would take another 10 minutes) and I was left disappointed.

time wasted, mouth un-aioli'd and just depressed. I love KFC, but...

We had the worst experience . From the counter to our stable by the counter )our bag was dripping . Couldn't eat chicken as when you held it up to eat the coating was dripping off with all the oil . 6 meals 5 hardly touched except for potato and gravy . Lemonade had no syrup so soda water . Returned to counter and spoke to manager who said he would talk to cook. Didn't return our money by the time i got back to table it was thrown in rubbish and as the boxes with chicken were about to go in i said i will take them to counter . Asked staff to hand to manager. We got no coleslaw or moros with deluxe packs and no cans of drinks that we were meant to get with our packs . Manager was of no assistance . The place was dirty , my family went to sit upstairs tables dirty and toilet hand basin had something growing in it . My husband is a cleaner and couldn't stand it and returned back downstairs . We will never eat it again and as for head office i have had no response and our visit was nearly 9 days ago so much for reply in three to five days . Also manager when i spoke to him as we left nelson said he was sorry and that the team above would be in touch but wouldnt pbe till monday as it was weekend well that was a week ago today . Also how do you have frozen chips in with soogy chips . Totally a terrible experience . Posted two photos of what hadn't been thrown already...
