Oceano Restaurant — Restaurant in Nelson

Went out for a birthday dinner last night and I absolutely cannot rave enough about Oceano - food was great but the service was next level. Such an awesome bunch of wait staff that really knew what they were talking about about and made our dining experience really the best we have had in nelson. The prices are reflective of the fine dining and impeccable service so definitely well worth it. We will absolutely be back. Thank you everyone who made our dining experience last night, it's so much appreciated. Special thanks to the staff for being so good with the kids as well, engaging with them on their meal choices, being patient and letting them play the piano tucked down the end to keep them entertained. Although edible, the food was mediocre at best, honestly I had a better version of the same meal in the pub for 1/2 the price. The side chips were just terrible, they looked and tasted like they'd been cooked the day before. Change your oil chefs!!! Way too expensive for what was delivered. Oh and my friend and I ordered two cocktails from the menu... Wow they were bad. Hands down the two worst tasting cocktails of my whole life, they literally couldn't be finished. Breakfast Buffet was delicious . A huge assortment in both Continental and Cooked .. I Loved the yogurt jars . Coffee Espresso/Hot Chocolate machine not the best , would prefer Barista fresh made or even a filter coffee that had taste. My Sons' said the Hot Chocolate was below average ..
