8888 Cafe — Restaurant in North Island

My partner and I came to Cafe 8888 a few days ago as I was recommend it by my sister and let me tell you it was fantastic. I will definitely be recommending to people about this. At first I was very hesitant to come in as it was 1 hour before close so I wasn’t sure if we should sit or not however before I could decide one of the lovely women at the counter told me to take a menu and have a seat. The food was delicious and very filling and I LOVE the coffee. I haven’t had a good coffee in a long time and this coffee was amazing. I used to work as a barista and one of my best complements I ever received was “you can tell you take great care in your coffee” and that’s exactly how I felt watching and receiving the coffee I had ordered. All was simply amazing. Great friendly service. Immaculate food, I would consider a perfect last meal. Sorry, no photos but I got the blueberry pancake stack followed by the steak sandwich. With a large hot chocolate and iced tea, all for $49. Awesome atmosphere too, I definitely liked the open indoor dining area, separated from the cafe. I just ordered a steak sandwich for lunch and I’m only 2 bites in and had to review about how delicious it is!! 10/10 thank you! The steak and chips are perfectly cooked and the salad and sauces don’t over power the Kai and the toasted bread just makes it so much better! A really good price also! I had to go back and order another in the span of writing this review, thankfully they are only on the next block over from my work 🫶🏽
