I am new to Gisborne, so I have been on the hunt for the best pie in town. This is one of my first reviews, so I won't be able to say which place is the winner. This has been my first experience @ GMPC.
As I walked towards the shop, I saw several people coming in and out the door which is always a good sign. I confidently ordered a Mince & Cheese Pie, and for $4.10 I was more than pleased with the amount of food I got in return. It was delicious from 1st to last bite; the crust was golden and cooked all the way through - both top and bottom, and the filling very flavourful. Excellent cheese-to-meat ratio, with the added bonus that they don't use preservatives. The lady that served me was super nice too, which is a lot to say especially for such busy places. Today team the pastry in every pie was HARD we ordered M/C, got given ALL MINCE ๐, The sausage roll with cheese tastes funny, PLEASE taste your kai before selling it too the public get better ones in Auckland for half the price. Pies loaded with pepper!
