I would rate this zero stars if I could. Our waiter took our beer order and brought out 3 completely incorrect beers (taste of ipa versus a cider...). He then tried to explain how we were wrong and he poured the correct beers. He went to the bar and came back with different beers and tried to explain again how it was our fault he got mixed up. Then he takes the food order. He doesn’t write down our food order like he didn’t write down the drink orders. A lady comes back and asks us to verify what we ordered, everything she said was wrong again... we corrected her and our appetizer (loaded fries) came out. It was fine. Then our food comes out and 2 out of 3 dishes were inedible (bratz and the lamb burger). The pretzel almost broke my tooth when I bit into it. The pizza was edible but looked like it was a frozen pizza from a store. I told the server that my food was inedible and she didn’t say anything... We paid then looked at the receipt again and they had charged us twice for the app. Was a whole process to get refunded and they couldn’t put it back on our card. Honestly couldn’t have imagined a worse experience at a restaurant. The beer was fine, but doesn’t make my stomach feel better for eating super questionable food and for problems at every single stage of the restaurant process. What an amazing experience at The Brew Craft Beer Pub in Rotorua! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and good vibes—Jason greeted us with a big smile and set the tone for a fantastic evening.

Jono also went above and beyond—he absolutely made our kids' day with a surprise ice cream sundae topped with extra Easter eggs. Such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that created a special memory for all of us.

The food? Absolutely delicious. Every bite was full of flavor, and it paired perfectly with the great selection of craft beers on offer. It’s safe to say we’ll definitely be back—all the way from Auckland—just to relive this awesome hospitality and atmosphere.

I personally didn't find much by way of customer service here. I sat at a table for 10 to 15 minutes without so much as an acknowledgment of my presence. When I went to the bar to inquire about "whether food and service were only being offered in certain areas", I was told "we didn't know you wanted food"... Which is absurd bc they didn't bother to do their job...no one ever bothered to come to my table to ask me whether I needed a menu, if I wanted food, or anything. I had to go to the bar to get my own beer. This seems more like a self service spot where the customer gets their own drink, own menu, and goes to the back and cooks their own food. The staff offered no service to me upon my visit. Fed up, I left my damn near full drink and walked out bc of the lack of customer service here. I'll spend my $ around the corner. 4.3 rating...GTFOH.
