DONER KEBAB — Restaurant in North Island

Lol this place is a joke. It’s frozen meat heated up in the microwave and thrown together in an unhygienic environment. Despite having the proper grill haha. Two kebab meals for $50. The poor guy selling his shop struggling to keep up with 10 customers calls in his mate who seemed to have just woken up, coughs in food and serves it to customers. Again, a joke, but Queenstown is currently struggling with staff and there’s almost nowhere to eat that isn’t a 1 hour+ wait. Just wait the hour at other places. This palce with 6 people in front of us took 45 minutes and was a mistake. Would...

I have been to this restaurant couple times and have to say the doner is not exactly the same as I tried in Turkey but still tasty and delicious. They have 2 shops in QT, another one is in food court. Most of staff are very friendly, helpful and nice. Only the owner or one worker who is relatively short and old is kind of rude to customers. One night I literally saw him rolled his eyes to 2 Asian customers he served but they didn’t do anything wrong. Somehow, he served me with a fake-friendly manner. Don’t know whether he rolled his eyes...

The owner is most unpleasant. He is a conniving gentleman. He was very rude to my friend and I after we had paid for our kebabs. He also asks if you want cheese (as if it's normal addition to the kebab) and then slaps on a 2 dollars charge at the end... It was quite funny how he pointed to a very small sign saying "it says 2 dollars for cheese" as if it was the welcome to Las Vegas sign.

Please go and get a kebab somewhere else because this guy doesn't fit in with the lovely kiwi hospitality we have...
