Global Street Food FEILDING — Restaurant in North Island

First time at this place, saw all the rave reviews and decided to treat the wife after a hard week.

Greeted with a smile, wife had the Carbonara with added chicken, I had the Korean Fried Chicken and Spanish Wedges. All dishes were served within 10 minutes.

And then Gordon Ramsay enters the chat: Rubbery, tasteless Korean Fried Chicken, on a bed of wet kimchi making the chicken soggy, topped with some weird, not Korean, “Korean salad”. Needless, the chicken was definitely frozen and not defrosted slowly. Plate was left with a lot of water from the rubber chicken.

Wedges were cut up potatoes, with a little seasoning, and hardly crispy on the outside.

Pasta with chicken? We paid an extra $6 for chicken, and what we got, was very expensive chicken. The pasta was cooked with heavy cream, and should only be done with egg yolks, parmigiana, and lots of black pepper.

We don’t leave many negative reviews, but felt this was more of a Public Service Announcement and needed to be posted. This restaurant requires better cooks, ASAP. The people of Feilding are getting fleeced, and are in for a rude awakening when they realise that this is not how Korean Chicken or even Pasta should taste.

Absolutely appauling quality of food. My parents went their and paid 50 dollars for a seafood basket for 2 which if i could post pictures of it i would. As i have pictures of it. The food was disgusting the mussel fritter left a terrible after taste in their mouth and they both got really sick a few hours after eating here as all they ate today was their food. Terrible value for money i feel my parents were ripped off when they were just trying to enjoy their anniversary

We were so impressed by the food and the service that we had to come back for a second night in a row! The food options were amazing and the food was delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff were wonderful with prompt and friendly service, including advice on serving sizes that was totally accurate (we over-ordered on the second night when we didn’t listen to the advice given! But we were offered the chance to take the delicious leftovers home!). Drinks were generous. Everything was very reasonably priced. So many alternatives to choose from that you are easily able to find multiple options to suit even a big group. Highly recommend 🏆 and will tell everyone they need to go!
