Hell Pizza Cambridge — Restaurant in North Island

Sad to have to update my review and not in a good way pretty disappointed Hell's pizza in Cambridge has always been our Go too for pizza it's usually excellent and never had an issue with it in the whole time we have lived here did an order a few weeks ago first time since Oct/Nov not sure if there's new owners as the other review has stated but wow the Pizza was Awful ☹️ It was so dry next to no base sauce on any of the 4 pizzas possibly a teaspoon or two max and bases all tasted stale like they were a few days old even my daughter who is not fussy at all and would usually eat the most plain food didn't like it unfortunately most of the pizza ended up in the bin I did receive a call from them a day or two later and they said I was the only person from that night who was not happy with my order so not sure if they just ran out of base sauce or if they had a different worker who just didn't make them very well they said they would call me again but never did ?? Pretty disappointed overall will just have to make our own from now on. Sadly if you're wanting a takeout pizza you might be better off going across the road to Domino's at least it's a bit more saucy 😬

I finally decided to give Hell Pizza a try. I called the store and placed the following order: 1 Envy pizza, no mushrooms 1 kids cheese pizza 1 order of wings 1 fresh green salad 1 onion ring with chipotle mayo dip

I received: 1 Envy pizza with mushrooms 1 kids cheese pizza 1 onion ring with unknown red dip

I inquired before I left about the wings. They forgot them but we're able to correct it quickly. For the salad, apparently they had been sold out of salad for some time and the person who took my order didn't tell me when I ordered. No salad options were available. They tried to upsell me with non-salad replacement options before finally taking it off the the bill.

The pizza was pretty terrible, mostly due to the dough. My kids wouldn't eat it, which is only the 2nd time they've turned down pizza.

The wings were very soggy. It's clear they take the wings that are still wet, put them in the cardboard container, and then pour sauce on top. The wings then dried and were physically stuck to the cardboard and a good chunk of the wing remained stuck to the container when I tried to pick up a wing. The wings are not crispy at all.

The onion rings were decent, but wish I had dipping sauce I ordered.

Overall between 3 of my 5 items being wrong or just not provided, 1 of 5 being forgotten, and the overall quality of the food being so poor, I'll likely never give them...

Used to order from here every Friday night religiously for years. It was my absolute favourite for a Friday night takeaway.

The last year or so it has become so bad, worse than old generic pizza chains by far. Not cooked enough, no seasoning, quality of ingredients is poor, as is the quantity they put on the pizza. We even had a few experiences ordering the donuts and they had so little chocolate in them that there were bites with no chocolate inside even though it usually pours out. It’s obvious they’re trying to increase their profit margins by cutting quality, however all that will do is drive their customers away.

Really disappointing. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first few times until I realised it was a permanent change and I haven’t ordered since.

I think they have new owners? All the staff completely changed.

Old owners come back!! I want a decent pizza!

Update: It was 1 star on food, now it’s 1 star on everything. Photo of their reply below incase common sense urges them to delete it.
