No 1 Motels on Victoria — Hotel in North Island

The Motel is not what I would call a motel more like a Hostel or a Backpackers, not all rooms have their own bathroom there are shared bathrooms and a community kitchen and tables and chairs on a balconey. Our room had an ensuite as we paid extra for it, the room was clean thanks to housekeeping and the bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. Carparking was tight especially as some people dont know how to fit into their own car park bay. There was no sign of recycling. Check in was pleasant and friendly but the biggest disappointment was the noise as walls are thin and other guests walking down the hallway are inconsiderate and loud. We booked 2 nights but left after one as it was too noisey and there was not much privacy Dont stay in room 10 as your window looks out onto the kitchen balaconey and you need to keep your blind shut to experience privacy also room 10 shares its wall with the community kitchen which is loud. Location id good so that is worth 5 stars but overall its a 3 for us. Its probaly okay for a 1 night stay but dont expect too much there are other places to stay in town for more money. Great room, very clean. Staff was lovely. Linen and towels were all clean and room service happened daily. Location is also awesome, walking distance to great food and countdown/nw are just around the corner. Parking was fine although it maybe tricky if the motel is busier.

Few things worth noting: communal kitchen stovetops did not work (after being on for 10 minutes I could still put my hand on the burner, it was barely warm) communal kitchen oven and sandwich press looked a bit suspect I.e. unclean - not sure I’d eat anything I cooked in them sound travels between rooms very well, so if it’s a busy time of year good luck getting much sleep someone stole the bag of food I put in the communal fridge (who wants a half block of cheese?) no hot chocolate in the rooms (if you/your kids want it) just coffee and tea no milk for the continental breakfast (maybe I had to ask, I didn’t try) king size bed was actually 2 single bed mattresses pushed together (so I couldn’t be a starfish unfortunately haha) not that big a deal but figured...

Was askt to leave so left quietly they did a room inspection and they said there were burn marks in the carpet neither of us smoke but it wasn't a burn it was INK STAIN I rubbed the stain with a damp cloth and showed tht it was Not a burn mark But the managers were more interested in yelling at my partner and I telling us were liers and tht thy were keeping our Refund so my partner kickt a full black sack of rubbish at thm for being arrogant which ended up dwn the motel hallway all over the floor and said we'll if ur gonna keep my money you might as well work for it and we left before it cld have got alot worse at there end due to there un proffessional Rude manner as managers and thy spoke to us my partner will not let it rest he does not like or appreciate rude people leta lone bullies or people hu dnt actually no us but wana try telling us tht we r people who we know we aren't.

PRETTY SURE THO NO1 CAN GET ARRESTED FOR KICKN/TRIPPIN OVER A BAG OFF RUBBISH .... LIKE WAT KIND OF DIRTY MOTEL LEAVES BAGG OF RUBBISH IN THERE HALLWAY...
