KFC Whakatane — Restaurant in North Island

As far as KFCs go, this one is on the leaderboard. My go to order is a zinger meal, but I don't like the potato and gravy (unpopular opinion I know, don't come for me) so I sub it out for another pack of fries. It cost 50c more, but I figure it a small price to pay for the convenience. The only problem is, not one single KFC I've ever been to has been able to accommodate this. So I pay the 50c more, and get the tato and gravy anyways. Nevertheless, I am always hopeful that one day, somewhere, someone will get my order right. KfC Whakatane is that very someone. Kindly let the staff know in the drive through that our chips were not salted, they the gave us table salt so we asked for all our food to be salted with kfc salt, which was met with a very hostile attitude where they said "we could of requested extra salt" i replied i dont want "extra" salt i just want my food salted in the first place. Absolutely rubbish go there once in blue moon cause they always sold out of everything except snack burger. This time new it was to good to be true that they could do my order. Had sat at window for 5mins before paying for food once paid for was told they couldn't do my order. When asked what they could do they said colonial burgers popcorn chicken and a couple prices of original chicken or would I like a refund. Decided yes please I'll just get refund and go somewhere else to then be told by a 3rd person a refund couldn't be done untill Monday and that it'd be best if I just changed my order.
