McDonald's Te Awamutu — Restaurant in North Island

February 2023 Visited this store at 6.15pm for a dine in dinner. The drive through was very busy apparent by the amount of noise (voices shouting) created by the staff in the kitchen area. A sign in the restaurant area read "No Takeaways", very misleading. The cleanliness in the dining area was marred by food left in places that should have been clean. This lead to five flies on occasion landing on our table and food. Not a very pleasant dining experience at all. The Male toilet was filled with the odour from a fire of some sort in the toilet area which had happened very recently. Spoke with the duty / shift manager who explained what had happened prior to our arrival. I posted review previously - I was unhappy that it took so Long to find the entrance into the Drive Through - I missed MacDonald's entrance on the main road - I found a MacDonalds sign that sent me through the Warehouse car park - the route was not Properly identifued and I ended up in the wrong place - a dead end in front of another store - I could see the cars in the Drive Through on the other sude of the fence - I negotiated my way there but there was No Directions. Hopeless place to go. Recommend never using the drive through. Never ever had a correct order from these people yet. The chicken and bacon burger I was given by mistake got fed to my dog. It was an absolute abysmal example of a burger. The chicken pattie was dry and the bacon was so over cooked it crumbled. As for the lettuce it was barely present and the tiniest piece of tomato had no flavour. Shame on you for selling such absolute rubbish food and having the gaul to place it in packaging the had the word GOURMET on it. ADVICE TO ALL...
