BurgerFuel Te Awamutu — Restaurant in Waikato

I don’t usually go through the effort to write reviews but I felt this was needed. If you have eaten BurgerFuel before and go here you will know that this BurgerFuel is not up to standard, well not on this day anyways. I ordered a bacon backfire and chop shop chicken it was literally ready in only a few minutes which was a bit concerning to start with. The burger came out looking like it had been slapped together, dripping out the sides as if it had been dunked in a bath. Took a bite out of it and the chicken had a microwaved texture and was sloppy and a took another look and surely enough it was raw. I took it back and they promptly made me another. Second burger came out was slightly better looking and the chicken was cooked - just, it did have onion on it though which I am allergic to and asked it to be without. I feel like maybe the grill was not hot enough and there was just no time and effort gone into making this burger, it was more like a warm sandwich. Chop shop chicken was good, slightly over cooked which made it it a bit chewy but eateable. Luckily I was starving today as otherwise I probably would have not bothered and just left it. Staff member was nice she was very apologetic and offered a free burger voucher for next time which I will definitely not be redeeming here. Would have rather had just a good burger to begin with maybe a bit of training in cooking would go along way for...

The service and food was AMAZING. The girl at the till who served me was an absolute angel and so helpful. Everyone was efficient and helpful. I WILL be back

I wandered in, the night was young, The scent of beef upon my tongue. Neon signs and engines hum, BurgerFuel—I’d finally come.

A Motor Mouth, stacked tall and wide, With melting cheese and smoky pride. Fresh lettuce crisp, red onions bite, That brioche bun? Just feels so right.

Kumara fries on the side, still hot, With truffle aioli—hit the spot. The crew all smiled, the beats ran deep, Like diners do in midnight sleep.

The chrome, the art, the retro flair, I found good food and didn’t care That time slowed down between each chew— Each bite a bomb, each sip brand new.

I wiped my hands, I tipped my cap, A burger feast, no post-meal nap. Just fuel and joy and tasty feels— A perfect night...

usually you order online so you don't have to wait 25 minutes for your food in-store but after ordering online and going to pick up at the recommended time I was told my order was still 7-8 mins away, 25 minutes later after watching my chips going cold in the warmer I was given my food with cold chips which was pretty disappointing considering the amount paid for the meal and the time waited to receive it. maybe they could update there online system when they are busy or quiet, I have picked up my online order on another occasion at the recommended time for it to be cold on pick up because it was sitting there for so long. so this is definitely an ongoing issue hence the review the staff are always friendly, it was busy and the burgers were good, hoping for better service and hot chips...
