Rice & Noodle House 青禾饭馆 — Restaurant in North Island

Rice & Noodle House has quickly become our family favourite restaurant.

The service is excellent and the food is great. Food usually arrives in around 5 minutes depending on how full the restaurant is and water is also free.

The quality is also consistent. I usually order Sweet & Sour pork with rice or pork fried noodles and have not been disappointed once. The portion you get for the price, in comparison to most restaurants is great as well.

The restaurant itself, is small but has a decent amount of room for a few families as well as some outside seating.

There are alot of restuarants to eat at in Taupo and Rice and Noodle house has definitely become one of my favourites.

The staff are super friendly. The space inside the shop isn't the biggest but it is still comfortable and feels cosy with enough space for multiple families to sit without bothering each other, and there is space to sit outside too.

The quality of the food you get for the price is reasonable and has been quite consistent for the number of times that I have went there. Personally I enjoy the sweet and sour pork with rice side...

Basic clean cafe style set up.

I got tasty dumplings. Well cooked, great flavour. I wanted some veggies (shock!) and they didn't offer any. There weren't any vege only side on the menu (only veg based main dishes). Plus I don't want a coke or fanta, so there were limited drink choices. Just because I like Chinese food doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to choose slightly healthier. I'm no fitness freak though.

Menu says dumplings are fried; you can have them steamed if you want.

On the plus side, relatively good...
