Tarbush kebab shop NZ — Restaurant in North Island

Absolutely LOVE this place! The food is consistently amazing so we love to try different things from the menu,some we've never heard of before or we have tried somewhere else but didn't enjoy. We have not been disappointed even once at Tarbush. The place is always clean and tidy, the guy is super welcoming. You're definitely missing out on a good thing if you don't get yourself in there. WARNING-The Baba Ghanoush and the Fried Kubba are especially awesome. Addiction to Tarbush highly likely..just saying xx

17/10/22 update - we tried the Mandi Lamb this weekend. OMG What an amazing treat! So very glad we took a chance and tried this! Ordered it Wednesday for the Friday night and asked him to provide a small salad with it. Was not a problem at all and GEEZ what an epic meal! Definitely going to keep this deal in mind next time we are entertaining. The spices used on the lamb and rice are absolutely amazing. He REALLY knows what he is doing and geez louise he does it exceptionally well. My birthday is February...I know what I'll be having for my Birthday dinner! Love this place, ADORE the food and the guys behind the counter couldn't be more friendly, accommodating and wonderful if they tried. Once again - You knocked it out of the park Tarbush! I went to this kebab shop tonight, I ordered my kebab, the kid taking the order was awesome, they did not have the correct change for cash I presented, so I paid with my card. I ordered 2 kebabs and a small chips. When receiving my order the older guy told me he accidentally made me a large chips and I was required to pay an extra FIVE DOLLARS for his mistake. Me wanting no drama paid the $5, not great customer service, as a customer should not have to pay extra for something that could have easily been made into small chips. the kebabs were cold, and by cold the extra cheese was not even melted, you could call this place cold wraps with an extra surcharge of stale chips, worst kebab place in the hutt. Very disappointed in this restaurant. One of the worst experiences I've had, I was mistreated and disrespected. They had taken my initial order wrong. I asked for meat and without asking what type they made a chicken wrap. When returning it they kept telling me it's my fault for using the word meat and not lamb and they refused to give me my order. It would be as simple as remaking it but they were very stubborn. After some argument between themselves they made me the worst sandwich in front of my eyes, throwing sprinkles of ingrediants, very little meat andwithout even toasting it! I dont know what they were trying to prove. He then practically handed the sandwich to me and said "here" rudely. I was shocked and said I don't want any sandwich anymore. I lost my appetite.
