Zampelles Queensgate — Restaurant in North Island

This is our favorite place for Sunday brunch. Their chips are the best in town. We used to always come here for chips. Unfortunately today's one are really soft, not crispy at all and looked sad. When I told one of their lady staff, she was very kind and took the food back to ask if there's anything they could do. Then the chef came out and very kindly explained the situation that their supplier somehow couldn't supply the nice chips. Which I totally understand as I work in a food place where this kinda situation happens all the time. They offered us refund. I'll say it's a really nice experience seeing how they handle this situation really well with very nice attitude. Hopefully you guys can have the nice chips back and we'll definitely come back every Sunday for the best...

Really disappointed, my partner and I come to this cafe whenever we go to the mall to shop. The staff are always nice. But unfortunately the manager is horrible. I am currently over 8 months pregnant and was not intending on using there seating outside was just standing by it and the manager came out of his way to tell me that I couldnt sit in the seats because it was for customers only. The cafe was virtually empty aswell. I was only waiting outside near the entrance of the mall for a friend. I then went inside and told them how upset and disappointed I was that he had come up to me to say that! Instead of apologising they first tried to justify his actions. I won't be returning and I will be telling anyone I can in future not to dine...

It’s hard to find a high quality brunch spot still serving meals under $20 but here at Zampelles, you get great food and value. We had the avo smash, pancakes, eggs bene and mushrooms on toast. The pancakes (so good, we had to get two) and eggs bene were a real standout - a creamy, zesty benedict sauce served on a muffin with fresh salmon - yum! The avo smash was delightful, especially when served with zany zeus halloumi and a slice of lemon! And the mushrooms were a pleasant surprise - very creamy and decadent morning treat. Coffee was also great and servers all very lovely and helpful. 10/10 worth a visit for a surprisingly tasteful meal hidden away...
