Been getting takeaways from Stumpy's for years, driving across town past other takeaway shops to get there. After tonight's experience though, I will be going somewhere else. The main reason is that they have changed their chips to the crinkly sort. They must think their customers are dumb. The crinkly chips mean you are actually getting less, weight-wise, the increased surface area of the chip means they hold more fat and go COLD much faster. I drove ten minutes to home after picking up my order and the chips were barely warm when I opened the package. Please Stumpys, go back to selling proper chips! You are going to lose more customers...

Unfortunately, having given Stumpy's more than several opportunities to make good on previous faults they have dropped the ball too many times now. Being ripped off by the miniscule amount of chips, smelly fish in fish burger, given different fish from what's been ordered (this has happened twice now, ordered snapper and given cheap, rubbery fish instead). This is very disappointing considering this business has held such a great reputation for many years. Please lift your game and stop ripping...
Read moreScore maybe 2.5... We were passing by so decided to pick-up f & c for tea. First time there.. Usual offerings available, plus shrimp and raw fish etc punnets. Prices pretty solid, Chips disappointing (very average and under cooked). Fish and batter ok. The place needs a really good spring clean. Eat in tables need updating. First impressions as you enter is it's 'grubby' as the door is filthy, floors need cut and polish. Not sure what Councils rating is, but it's not 'A' for sure.
