We spent a lot of time (actually it was me who was over excited to be back to my Alma mater) going around the campus and particularly the buildings which I spent most time studying and hanging out with friends. The Registry Building and Commerce Building (St David too because I was shopping for souvenirs) were particularly memorable. When we were finally done and exhausted, we headed to my ex-flats in Castle St and Heriot Row + Baldwin Street (sighseeing while attempted to go up the world's steepest street as confirmed by Guinness Book of Record). Next stop was Otago Peninsular to visit the famous Royal Albatross colony but before that we stopped by this award winning Vogel St Kitchen, one of Dunedin's popular destinations for breakfast and lunch. Sure enough, it was very packed and we somehow managed to get a table at the other end of this cafe. Restoring and fitting out this once abandoned building took the owner 10 months but the end result was astounding. It has the chic industrial look to it. After all, this area is Dunedin's heritage warehouse precinct which is more than 120 years old. ◾brown sugar buttermilk waffles with vanilla bean mascapone, citrus rhubarb, and toasted hazelnuts ◾brownie ◾Savoury scone ◾soup of the day which happened to be mushroom soup which came with 2 piece of ciabatta toast and butter Other options include woodfired pizza and woodfired sandwiches on top of their all day menu. Since we were not that hungry, we didn't order much and had to contend with the things that we did order.

I came to Dunedin from Auckland for a holiday for NY. A friend recommended a place for breakfast on 31/12/23, and we ordered seafood chowder. The serving was generous with beautiful seafood, and we managed to finish two breads that came with it. We were so impressed that we decided to come back for brunch on 3/01/24. However, the service was very slow, and no one came to take our order. When my boyfriend approached the waitress, she said that she was on a break and asked us to wait for someone to serve us or order at the counter. We asked another waitress to take our order to ensure that we were ordering what we wanted (in addition to seafood chowder, of course). When they brought two plates of chowder, we realized that there wasn't much seafood at all. All we could taste was onions and some small pieces of seafood, calamari, and shrimps. The portion was so small that we couldn't even finish the second piece of bread they served with the dish. For example, in Auckland, there's a cafe named Sno in central Newmarket where we usually eat seafood chowder for $27, but they serve it in a nice and generously-sized bowl with two breads. Sadly, we won't be returning to this place, or perhaps they were simply out of stock of their ingredients. We're very unhappy with our experience today :( It’s overpriced Gave 4 stars today

Plenty of room here, and a good choice of table sizes. A grand use of an old wharehouse, and they have made great use of this when decorating. It's a little cool in summer, which is great on a hot day, but not so good in winter. The service was friendly and quick. They have a sense of humor, which helps you feel like more than " just another customer". Lots of fun on a Saturday morning. The food was delicious, and arrived in the expected time. The omlette came with the choice of 2 toppings and looked great. I don't eat eggs , which is a great way of testing the kitchens flexibility. They had no issues with swapping them for salmon. It even felt like a non-event, which is nice and shows a great relationship between wait staff and kitchen. My sisters hot chocolate looked really good and almost made me regret my cup of tea. It had a rich, creamy look to it. I asked her how it was, but she had stuffed her mouth with the marshmallows and couldn't get a word out. We will definitely be back, and next time, I'm trying the hot chocolate.

Had a Saddle Hill flavoured pizza for lunch a good choice, and a cup of cappuccino with cinnamon toppings with Trixie Vosseler at a restaurant in one of the historic precincts. After that I was on the Mosgiel no. 77 bus home from the Exchange area back home via Green Island bus hub. What relaxing atmosphere I've have had after seeing a lot of fairy lights displayed somewhere in the city area, and also at a pub in Carey's Bay yesterday, reminding of the mid winter celebrations. These images shown of what inside the venue appears, a self portrait of me, and what's on the menu board we ordered which one near the bottom in more details.

Come on now. How do you step up with breakfast to me - almost bland but pure - eggs Bennie, tomato with mushroom. But then you have the salt/pepper/kaitia fire to do what you want, chefs sometimes get annoyed by people asking for salt, cooked more, soy salt ect. This you add what you want. Bit of salt - pow, Kaitai fire to the bloody marry - pow. Slow day but honestly was text wife and put down phone because foods here. Please don’t change and please doing what you do so good. $40 for the drink and breakfast. Worth every cent.

特别地道经典的早餐咖啡厅。鸡蛋饼厚实,内涵奶酪,配加微辣西班牙火腿肉肠,那个美味绝了……
