Dunedin Town Hall — Attraction in South Island

Shocking organising by dunedin venues, absolutely useless. They need new staff. The town hall floor is a disgrace to the city its a serious health and safety concern. Its cracked, big gaps, chewing gum all over it, totally unsuitable as a dance venue. Huge fight to get in early so we could set up. What do they expect you to do, wave a magic wand. If we have to book the facility for two days so we can set up, then we need a grant for two days, thats $12,000.00 it takes 1 day to remove the chewing gum...

Had a blast lastnight at the Benee concert that My 6 year old neice and I attended. I just wanted acknowledge the security and everyone in the cloak room who were super caring and went over and Beyond for us to make sure we were having a good time, that we were safe and making sure we were ok even From holding crowds of people coming through doors for us to come through. Coming from Dunedin, I can say that we are proud of our town hall. It hosts the yearly graduations and a lot of events throughout the year. The location is conveniently in the middle of town. During an event, the surrounding car parks will be full. It is easier to walk or take public transport. Everything is handy from the Octagon so there should be no problem but plan ahead to make sure you don't miss the event because you can't find a park. This is true specially...
