KFC — Restaurant in Puketāpapa

Do not buy from this store unless you like to be belittled and like below par KFC. I find Lynfield a lovely area with mostly great people and eateries except Lynfield KFC this includes the food 9/10 and some of the staff, on this occasion being Divya who thought it was okay to verbally abuse me over the phone and hang up after yelling! Professional and good customer service? I think not.

Unfortunately I have given this store 4x too many chances recently and each time the food is highly disappointing and at times inedible. The closest store to me being the main reason I made the mistake of returning here. This time however was ordered over door dash so I was not aware it was this store until later checking.

Todays order was the sliders that were drowning in BBQ sauce, yes both of them and I wish I was exaggerating! Before I even opened the packets i couldn’t see the slider just a brown color substance, which ended up being the sauce. No I did not ask for extra. Chips stale. Unfortunately and fairly so my child refused to eat it. Contacted them asking for a refund as door dash would only give partial refund when using automated system on the app. She took over the phone from a guy (he stayed professional) and instead of apologising for the horrid food and experience and explaining calmly she decided to yell and hung up the phone.

I will make sure to never shop here again. Today was the last straw.

Additional note: this is not the first instance a staff member has yelled and argued with me and my 70 yr old mother experienced the same during Covid. All occasions have been the female staff members that seem to have big attitudes...

Just ordered burger for my kid. Big Snack Burger with no lettuce and no mayo. Ordered via drive through. They missed cheese in the burger. Went back again, but my kid started crying so gave him to eat. And told the staff that its missing the cheese. They asked for burger back, so i gave it back even though my son doesnt wants to give it back because he is hungry and he is just 3 years old. The lady at drive through window was nice and checked burger that its missing cheese. I think she asked her manager that its missing the cheese and gave the burger back to my kid so that he can stop crying and said she will make another one with cheese. The manager doesnt even know their own menu and said it doesnt come with cheese, Then they try to charge me for cheese saying it doesnt come with cheese. I went to the kfc website and showed the burger image with cheese. Then the manager realised after seeing the image that it come's with cheese. Then she become rude and forcing the drive through lady to take the burger back. Its very stupid that the manager doesnt know their own menu and even after realising their mistake she become rude instead of apologistic about it. So...

If this Branch has still the same manager, I'm not surprised of the very low ratings. My impression the first time ever there was not good. No customer's when I walked in, 4 to 5 tables had not been cleared. The other tables had not been wiped down with greasy & slippery floor, so I ordered to go. Big mistake as I opened my meal & found every single piece hard, dry & not edible. To give them the benefit of the doubt, I went in again. This time a customer infront of me was arguing with the manager about getting old dry chicken. Customer wanted fresher pieces, but the manager insisted that the chicken was good?? I'm right there & can see that the customer was correct. I chimed in that the last time I was here, I also got old dried up chicken that had been under there warmer for God how long. I just said I'm going to Wendy's & the other customer left his order in disgust & followed me there. The irony is that two of their staff were on their break to the left of us and had the freshest meal I've ever seen at a KFC. Oh, New Lynn Branch...
