Update; Excellent customer service, the staff are all super kind and helpful! Even though we waited a little while to be seated at our own table, the turnover rate was pretty quick and we were seated within minutes! The food quality was amazing, could not fault any dish, and the variety has increased, there are now dry versions of the popular steamed bbq buns and runny egg yolk buns (for people who want to take away hehe aka me)!! Also had their pork intestines which were super tender yet chewy, and full of flavour. All the classics were fabulous, no faults, and all the dry bun/pastries were really good quality, tried a new thing for me-the almond taro wrap which had a amazing portion of taro filling topped with crunchy almond flakes! Also tried their sao mai which was so succulent and tender, made so well! And their glutinous rice chicken which was tasty with a good amount of filling and even a chunk of Chinese sausage! What an awesome surprise! I'll definitely be back, and I can't wait to venture out and try most if not all of their yum cha menu!!! Next step is to come for dinner! 9/2 Extremely fast service during the busy hours of noon. We were seated as soon as although had to share a table. Classics were served very quickly within minutes of being seated and were tasty and authentic, especially the black bean ribs which were served with taro, an original recipe! Was quite happy with that and all the quality of the foods, tender meat and well seasoned. However soon after there wasn't much variety in terms of the dishes being served, only dumplings seemed to be carted around. That was unfortunate as I definitely did not feel like I had enough to eat!

Yum Cha is the Cantonese tradition of brunch involving Chinese tea and dim sum & it loosely translates to "drink tea". Getting among the organised chaos of yum cha is one of my favourite weekend activities 😋 and there are plenty of great yum cha restaurants in Auckland. Recently visited Lucky Fortune in Three Kings with family and it is now one of my top 3 yum cha destinations❣️ It is a restaurant of huge capacity and has a massive selection of delicious dim sum for you to gorge upon. The service was great, plenty of pushable trolleys roaming around the restaurant during peak hours & everything came out piping hot and super delicious. The steamed dumplings are enormous in size – you will probably be full after having 3 of them😝. The prawn toast is my brother’s favourite – the crunch of biting through the crisp fried bread base and savouring the juicy prawn topping, truly scrumptious👌🏼... If you are looking for a buffet that comes to you, check out this place👏. FYI – it is also voted one of the best yum cha in Auckland by the Urban List❗️

Very busy on Mother's day. Best to book in advance. We accepted a table of 4 for 5 pax to avoid the "Q". Waiter requested for your choice of tea after seating down customers. A nice hot pot of tea was served in less than 5 minutes. Menu pictures & graphics were very good. There were plenty of choices of food to satisfy your appetite. Complementary house soup came within 10 minutes. Our half chicken was crispy & tasty but looks abit of rushed cooking. The fried crackers were soft (supposed to be crunchy) from the nice cool air. The braised mushroom with fried tofu on top of siao Bai chai and oyster mushroom sauce was a big serving. Next came slightly soft sum lightly fried with garlic came in a big serving. Busy enviroment with limited staff as customers come & satisfied customers will leave you with a bit of waiting time for hot water refill for your tea pot. Try coming in in the morning for dim sum which I heard was good.

"I would have given this place 0 stars if possible. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, the tables were dirty, and the waiters were inattentive. When I approached the counter to place an order, the lady's attitude was shockingly rude. She merely pointed to the menu and walked away to chat with her friends, leaving us waiting. The food took a long time to arrive, and when we asked for hot water, it seemed to take an eternity. To make matters worse, the fried rice was over-salted. The final straw was when we went to pay. The lady overcharged us by a staggering $103, which we had to correct. Our total bill exceeded $500, making the entire experience frustrating and costly. Beware: double-check your bill before paying to avoid a similar mistake. Extremely disappointing service and experience."

There was a black hair sticking out of one of our durian tarts. We asked for a replacement (of just the one tart as it was our last) and didn’t want to eat something which had a hair in it. The lady accused us of sticking it in lol! Not sure how we’d stick in a piece of hair - I’d love to see them try (a hair would bend!) Also why on earth would we bother for a like for like replacement. Being an Asian myself, I’m embarrassed as this paints our culture in a bad light. People already don’t trust asians to a degree because they’re cheap, I can see why from the service today. Do better. Didn’t get a photo of the hair in the tart as expected to just get a simple swap but instead got shocking service. Have a photo of the lady though. The inside matches the outside 😬

Well, I don’t often leave reviews but our experience just now was shocking! I can only assume based on the other ratings here, that dine in is better than takeaway! Looking at the menu, I was very surprised with the cost of each dish. After a bit of research, there were a few comments saying helpings were large. So we ordered a chicken and vegetables, entree dumplings and spring rolls. Super disappointed with the amount of food for $80! Dumplings and spring rolls were okay albeit pricey. But the chicken and veges, at $45 was a joke! Basically all Asian greens and a little chicken. Watery and average tasting tbh. Won’t be ordering from here again.
