I placed an phone order for Daal Makhani and 4 tawa roti at 1 am .

First of all , no other Indian restaurant or takeaway offer tawa roti in whole Auckland & secondly no Indian restaurant is open for takeaway in Auckland till 1 or 2 am , but yes taste of India does open till that late incase you wanna order takeaway that time due to your own work schedule or commitments etc.

When I went for picking up my food order , my food was ready( no wait) even they were lined up with whole lot of food orders at 1 am and while paying the bill , Suman & Anil (not sure if they are staff or owners, but look like owners to me) told me that there is two extra tawa roti complimentary and also given 2 free chutney packs+fresh Masala onions (would say everyone must try chutney with Indian food ) . I am not writing this review just because I got free accompaniments with my order , I am writing this review because I am living in Auckland since 2008 and never found Daal Makhani so yummy, fresh , exactly how chefs make in India . My partner hardly eats vegetarian & she don’t even know what Daal Makhani is . But now whenever I order Indian food , I have to order extra portion of Daal Makhani for her & she loved the chutney as it’s little spicy & goes fantastic with Daal Makhani .

Thanks so much guys for best ever food you provided tonight to us & we would be ordering a big takeaway dinner order for 15-19 guests of us from you guys in late January.

Note~ This place also have whole range of indo Chinese food options, seafood varieties & all specialities of tawa breads & tandoori breads including tawa parathas, tawa...

Struggling to find a good local Indian takeaway and decided to finally give this place a try, especially as it was cheaper than others nearby. Looked them up online and went through the menu on their website then placed our order using the link from their website - from which the prices were higher than on the menu. I received a confirmation text saying it would be due one minute BEFORE the text I received... so they either have them already to go or have some kind of issue with their ordering system. When going to collect it about 15-20 minutes later, the customer service was quite lacking. Very little interest in dealing with me and getting me my order (and I was told I had to wait), then the curries and rice that had been sitting in the warmer for who knows how long were packed up and sat waiting for the last item. I ordered a butter chicken as 'hot' - it had literally no spice at all and it was extremely bland/watered down - probably the worst one I have ever had. The naan I had with it was a bit thin and burnt in parts, but tolerable. The only thing saving this from being a 1-star rating is the Onion Bhaji, which was relatively nice (and a bit crunchy) - potentially the only thing actually cooked to order.

So I had to pay more than advertised for an extremely disappointing curry and felt like a customer they couldn't care less about. I would never go here again and cannot understand how they have a 4.4...

So I ordered Uber eats from this place at about 11pm on Saturday the 28th of December 2018, I just finished work and I got home with no food so I Ordered a MILD butter chicken first it took half an hour for the order to be picked up then it got here and me and my boyfriend just started to eat and it was the spiciest curry is ever eaten in my life after getting use to it, it was fine, we both woke up the next day drenched in sweat I run to the bathroom to throw up then my boyfriend did the same, we both ended up calling in sick for work on the Sunday which was a major loss of money for us, I went to the doctor early this morning and he said this is a very bad case of food poisoning, so much so this place deserves to be shut down and my doctor got to the point where he said he was gonna call service to check this place out again, what ever food rating the have they don’t deserve, DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE FOR ANY FOOD, or DRINK THEY WILL GET...
