Deluxe Coffee and Kitchen — Restaurant in Puketāpapa

Was looking forward to this one based on their reviews. Was Saturday mid morning, thought the place was closed for a second, could do with brightening up at the front, very small inside about 7 tables, they have gone for minimalist concrete grey and wood, ok but could do with something on the walls. As it was mid morning went for the cabinet food, extremely limited choice, completely missed they had a menu, nothing at all on the wall behind the counter. Had the bacon and egg muffin, toasted well, bacon under cooked, if McDonald's can get it right every time why cant cafes. Coffee was excellent. Service friendly, one of the waiters noticed car with lights on out front he asked each table, that was nice. Good for coffee, cabinet waste of time, try the other reviews...

Food was far from the description on the menu, it’s not giving me the option to post pictures but if you could see what I got you would know. Majority of these reviews are from 2 years ago when they may have actually been good but I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they go back to old prices, it’ll be worth the food quality and portions. I was actually really disappointed especially being a local. When I called and placed my order I had sum’d up what my total would be based off of the online prices, just to get there and pay an extra $10 for the smallest meal out. First & last time coming here unfortunately, no problem with customer service however the food was very basic and disappointing, I ordered a cream cheese bagel with tomato (they ran out of avocados) I kid you not there was hardly any cream cheese on my bagel 😳 it was so basic that you could easily make a better bagel from home. The chicken burger pretty plain as well. Didn’t get our moneys worth. Cafe was dim & cold. Just needs abit of pick me up in there and probably an upgrade...
