Tandoori Bar and Eatery — Restaurant in Rodney

Very disappointing, I had heard some good reports from others. The waiter didn't seem to know very much about the dishes. the order took so long we thought we had been forgotten. We asked for the gas fire to be put on because my wife was cold and they didn't know if it was working. Then latter they turned it off for some unknown reason. There seemed to be a cold draft from somewhere and it wasn't the beer. The fire would have been nice on a winter day or candles on the table for ambiance for couples and a romantic atmosphere but no such items attend to.

when the food arrived called chicken lollipops they were nicely presented but seemed to lack taste. then the main was a chef special but presentation was not good, colour was off putting too as it was supposed to be green but was a murky brown colour instead and taste was also disappointing . Did like the variety of selection of craft beer but didn't see any prices on the menu that was shown me.

when we we left we were overcharged for a bottle of wine we hadn't had😁 when I called back the next day a very kind and helpful lady got our money refunded, thankfully.

Generally overall not great and seemed over the top with prices. 10.00 for four popadoms and some dip and having to pay for rice when they already charged 25.00 for the main seemed a bit much especially as we didn't eat hardly any of it. My wife was gluten intolerant anyway.

something about the overall atmosphere seemed to irritate my wife not sure what that was but anyway we won't be going back...

Came here a few nights ago as a treat out for ourselves during these hard times, but was extremely disappointed with the service, food and prices.

We ordered two rice dishes after being shockingly told that rice isn't included in the $22.50 curries. The rice for one dish was $4 - which is already steep seeing as rice is quite cheep, however when the food was delivered both servings were compiled into a very small dish that was claimed to be two servings (pic attached). When I brought up my concerns to the waiter he just asked if I wanted to order another then laughed and said sorry when I explained that I didn't want to pay more for such small servings. My partner has a serious intolerance to spice and cannot have any and the dishes were swapped when given to us, causing him to eat my medium dish before realizing. We are very lucky that he only had a few small bites as I cannot imagine the result if he had eaten more. Understandable that accidents happen but in combination with the other events of the night this just sent everything over the edge.

When paying we were charged $3 over the correct price which wasn't from a surcharge, was just somehow calculated wrong which seems inappropriate after the already disappointing events of the night.

So hard to support local when this is the result you're getting. Will not being going here again and will unfortunately have to warn family and friends of the low expectations if they chose...

3rd time !!!! Over 30 min late . Don't give trimes if you not going to bother and make it.Thanks to being so late my little one missed out. Your web site says you deliver from 5. If you need 'time to cook' put deliver from 530 ... I rang to chase it up and you said 10 to 15 min away when it was going to be delivered.

Sauce was all in the bag and none left for the food and after you text me last night you just avoided replying to that part.

Garlic naan was not good was like rubber and clearly had been sitting in the foil for a while . How you cook it does not matter if it's old. No one said burnt .

One main was good but way to spicy .lucky I can handle spice but not many could. The butter chicken was something you get from the mall and but had hardly any chicken in it. It's like you a slow so you make everything less ... but the lollie pop chicken was more like sparrow . Tiny ! But tasted ok.i thank you for putting 10 in and not 8 but if I got legs from new world they probably be 3 in total chicken.

There's at least 6 Indian takeaway places in huapai and now I know why yours is the empty one.

Also in your reply you don't want to comment about the other times you where late ? Not sure why I give you 3 opportunities buy their won't...
