KFC Greymouth — Restaurant in West Coast

Some people don’t come to kfc everyday so don’t always know what’s on the menu. Myself and 3 others (myself first) were coming to have a nice treat, but after the way the staff talk the other 3 decided to skip this kfc and we will never use this location again. You need to train staff to LISTEN to what customers order instead of assuming they are always right, which is not the case. I have never been to a store with such poor customer service. The crew have zero manners, no “hello” no “your welcome” just “yes” Wouldn’t recommend, no gloves, one girl not even wearing her mask probably, plus she had the audacity to roll her eyes after hiding around the corner. The crew would rather hide behind the corner than come and deal with their mess up. Would rather fight and argue instead of fixing one mistake. They don’t listen to what you order then try and make YOU repay? The manager was nice about it and changed the meal to what I ask had for! But once I got the meal it would cold and uneatable. Plus I took one bit into the chicken and it didn’t even taste cooked!!! This was not a good first impression of fast food for me since moving to the coast. Will never spead my money here again. If you're travelling and you want to experience endless trips to the toilet from eating KFCs famous chicken. You picked the right place. My family and I decided to have KFC in Greymouth because all proper restaurants had closed for the evening. That evening any members of the family that had KFC chicken had multiple trips to the toilet.

This is not something you want when you're travelling NZ. The next day we went back to KFC Greymouth and informed them of our poor experience from eating their chicken.

The store manager told us to go see a doctor and proved that we all had food poisoning from their food and took down our details only. She provided no resolution and apology for the experience.

We ended up spending 3.5 hrs at the Greymouth Hospital with the doctor confirming that we all got food poisoning.

Feb 2017:

2 months later after I received a call from KFC regional office that were going to look into this, I have not heard anything back since.

Greymouth is a nice place but if you're looking a meal after the restaurants are closed. I would suggest the other fast food family...

Travelled here yesterday from Westport. We weren't greeted/served at the voice box so had to drive up to the last window to be served. I ordered a fanta for my drink & we were handed a raspberry fizz, went to give it back & told the guy at the window that we ordered fanta, he then told us that it was fanta & that it was just the coloring (it was bright red & by taste definitely NOT fanta) he did not change it for fanta. We were given the most bland, unseasoned chips we've ever had from any kfc outlet, they were also cold & soggy. Ordered a large potato+gravy, received a large pottle of just gravy with lumps throughout. The lettuce in the burger was brown & disgusting so obviously old. The chicken also had a very foul taste to it & I have been very unwell since which im 99.9% is due to food poisoning. I am 35weeks pregnant also. Absolutely NOTHING about this food or experience was pleasurable. I never usually write reviews however the food & customer service was so horrid I've felt the need to say something, won't be going back...
