Update 28/02/2025 Drive in review (again). The theft of customers money continued into February with only 20 of the 40 chicken nuggets provided again, I'm at a loss at this level of incompetence/corporate greed. Surely the accountant is seeing that the number of nuggets left in the freezer is greater than the numbers 'sold'. It's gotta be a corporate conspiracy or blatant disregard for customer service. Sigh.
Update 31/01/2025 Drive In review. Well the blatant theft by the proprietor is continuing with ongoing short supply of food items at the drive through. I see you make me check my order when I pay but for some reason you don't check my order when you hand it to me. This under supply happens so frequently it must be policy by McDonald to increase profits for the shareholders. Great business plan, but imagine the absolute backlash and prosecution if BP started this practice with petrol at the pump. Burger King always gets it right, perhaps their shareholders are satisfied?
UPDATE 20/08/2020 Drive In Review. It would seem that my Big Mac combo does not actually include a Big Mac. This seems odd as when the assistant that took my order at the drive in machine and at the pay window repeated my order and said 'Big Mac combo' in the list of items. I have decided that this must be a corporate policy to charge people for food they never planned to give them. Incompetency just can't be the reason, it happens so often it must be on purpose. Maybe my Big Mac is in another bag somewhere with the cheese burger I didn't get either? Perhaps some other lucky patron got my Big Mac and cheese burger, it'd be like a bonus or something, perhaps the reason because a corporate couldn't be that greedy could they?
I'd give zero stars if it were possible as one seems too generous. I'll leave it a two stars so hopefully this review gets more attention because at least it looks like I have put some thought into it rather than a flippant one star gripe. Why not go back and complain you ask? Well it's peak time and the queue is around the block, I (foolishly) forgot to check before I left the window so shame on me for being tired and hungry. Hopefully one day I'll learn my lesson and skirt around McDonald's corporate plays to maximise their profits, I'll park my car and go inside and talk to a real person, I see those 'self order' machines as a way of doing someone out of a job without reducing the cost to me. They are only adding to their profit and introducing more scope for error, taking advantage of the public who only want their over priced cheap fast food fix. Now, off to make a sandwich because I'm still hungry and to contemplate that the corporate overlords got one over on me again. Clearly I'll never learn.
Previous review: Every. Single.Time. How hard can it be to put all the stuff I order in the bag at the drive through. I guess it'll be another year...
Read moreCompletely inflexible. The staff are mere robots of the corporate administration at Andy Bay. I live nearby and just wanted to order a burger in the early hours of the morning. A simple and profitable request. I would have happily traded my hard-earned dollars for your highly-processed offering and continued, satisfied in my life. However, I turned up to the counter â doors were open â only to be told that Iâd have to go through the drive through⊠so I decided to walk through the dive through as if I was some kind of bogan. Regretfully the staff took exception to this and refused me service because of my lack of motorised vehicle. They sighted my âhealth and safetyâ as an issue although I was no less safe than a person in a supermarket carpark. How is it that a brand such as McDonalds refuses service based on whether a potential customer is or isnât in possession of a motor vehicle? This is reprehensible is an era when we are encouraged to use our god-given legs and shun hydrocarbon-fuelled means of transport. However frustrated, I held my tongue because it is not the frontline staff but those Human Resources and marketing employees who sit in their plush offices sipping plant-based lattĂ©s who are to blame for this ridiculousness. Yes⊠you who actually read this! In the past I was hesitant to support McDonaldâs but now I am truely opposed and will long hold animosity because of how I was treated. If you donât want my trade I will absolutely vote with my feet and take my dollars elsewhere. I will chose your competitors not only because they are better but also in spite. Thanks for being utter male appendages â I hope is satisfies the meaningless layer of feeling that fuels your existence. If you want to trade again you will have to meet me with actual...
Read moreI had a horrible experience with some of the staff at this mcdonalds...
So at the drive through speaker we ordered... we get to the first window and they messed up the order, no problemo we changed it everyones happy.... Go to the window to collect food... 1st attempt - missing all sides We ask for the sides, they take the food. 2nd attempt - we get half of the sides We ask for the other half 3rd attempt - they vring the other half of the sides but now the first half is missing. We tell them specifically everything in our order that they have to bring, meanwhile the server gives us the evils and eye rolls, She then gets her manager.... 4th attempt - a fake manager appears and attempts to give us the 2nd attempts sides where we tell them that this is not acceptable. And once again tell them the complete order top to bottom item for item.... 5th attempt- first cashier gives us half of the sides where i say no one more time, she goes to get the pther half of the sides when i say i want them large for free, She didnt like that so she said no tried to close the window and said shes ringing the police, to which i got out of the car and proceeded to wait on the bonnet... 6th attempt- the real manager who was definitely busy came out in the madness and sorted our order correctly without problem.
The main problem was the 2 workers I had to deal with before the main manager. They werent helping or thinking at all and it took the poor manager to show them how to treat people. If it wasnt for her youd be...
