Sal's Authentic New York Pizza - Richmond — Restaurant in South Island

When you are hungry and can't be bothered cooking, (a common occurrence for me!) you take stock of your takeaway/dineout options and battle with deciding which is the healthiest choice. ...and then sometimes you just get pizza! I love pizza, but unfortunately, my body does not. Well, luckily, there is Sals amazingly unique recipe dough. I find that the pizza base on Sals pizzas do not give me the typical digestive issues I have with other more typical outlets. Another bonus? It tastes amazing! I popped in one night to pick up a large pizza (Large is an understatement!) and could not decide between the 100 pepperoni black garlic and the Buffalo chicken. Fortunately I could choose a half and half, and I could have both in one pizza. Upon ordering the pizza I was informed that the kitchen had run out of black garlic which was a real shame, so I 'downgraded' to the standard pepperoni. The pizza was made very quickly in the clean and tidy kitchen and I was able to collect it in 10 minutes. As mentioned above, the pizza was delicious. Besides the amazing base, the toppings were well balanced with the pepperoni sitting nicely in the flavourful profile with the cheese, and the Buffalo chicken had a nice hint of blue cheese. The cheese dripped from the slices, just how good pizza should. Also, the serving was huge, and the next day heated up, I'm sure it tasted even better! I had the pleasure of visiting Sal's Pizza and let me tell you, it was an absolute culinary delight! The pizzas were out-of-this-world delicious, with the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. I tried both the classic pepperoni and the plain cheese pizzas, and they were both simply divine. But what really set this place apart was the amazing seasoning blend they use - just a sprinkle of it takes the flavor to a whole new level! And if you're a fan of a bit of heat, be sure to ask for some chili flakes to add to your pie.

But the real star of the show at Sal's Pizza was the fantastic service from the manager, Bonny. She was the epitome of hospitality, greeting us with a warm smile and treating us like family from the moment we stepped in the door. Her cheerful attitude and attention to detail made our experience truly special.

I ordered a chicken and mushrooms pizza with extra chicken and extra mushrooms and cost me $70.00, which is $20.00 on top of the normal price. when I arrived home, I realized that the chicken is actually EXPIRED chicken schnitzel from whatever frozen chicken schnitzel product. I expected actual chicken meat, the same I was always buying and not this smelly and elastic so called chicken. I will probably have to move my quarter to another pizza maker.
