Zara's Turkish Kebabs — Restaurant in South Island

I originally gave these guys 4 stars 4 years ago. What a pity that tonight on a busy Thursday night after 11 hours of work I get the worst service accompanied by a poor product. Entering the shop I was greeted kindly while the man serving was giving out orders. He then asked "What can I get you?" and then continued to try to serve to other customers. He finally got to me while constantly trying to serve other customers waiting. Before too long, he had made my Kebab and got me out the door. It seemed like good quick service. But the problem was that I ordered a large kebab and got a small kebab. And half of that kebab felt empty! This is what happens when you rush orders - poor product. I'm still hungry and I shouldn't be!

I would rather wait the appropriate length of time and see that other customers before me get their meal and get the best product you can make for me rather than having my meal rushed so you can get me out the door as quickly as possible - even if it is late: better late and the best product, than quick and a poor product. I will not be returning to Zara's Kebab ever again. You lost a loyal customer because you chose to rush a simple meal to make and could have left me satisfied. And now I'm disappointed and...

We travel to nelson a bit when we can went to these guys and I must say there chips and meat with the salad are wonderful just the best on good Friday they said they were open to 8.30 we had made a special trip here to say thank u to the nurses who looked after my dad yes he had gone from us but when we went to get the great feed that they serve they decided to close early I am so disappointed as they should have put this on there internet so we knew they were closing earlier so disappointed we missed out of great feed we also traveled for because they closed before...

We go weekly to Zara’s for our Iskander’s, mixed and vegetarian, and on the odd occasion I’ll have a vegetarian kebab. The staff are extremely friendly and we are always greeted with a smile and kindness. The food is amazing. It’s always been fresh & tastes delicious. The atmosphere is wonderful and to hear language being kept alive as they prepare food is wonderful. We love it and highly recommend sitting in and eating there. You get 5...
