I ordered just a standard 2 fish & a scoop of chips. Now, I'm a fish & chips fiend; I'm really brutal & fussy. And this place is easily in my top 3 fish & chips I've ever had. Thin batter, fish that isn't oily and was juicy (yes, juicy), dense and tasty - I actually closed my eyes at one point and willed myself to eat it more slowly, it was that good! Nice staff too - I'm from out of town, and I asked the staff where I could drive to park up & eat my F&C whilst watching the beach/surf. Excellent establishm ent! My first time here, but I'll definitely be back. The service was quick, staff very busy, but friendly and welcoming. We had the chinese menu. We had pre-ordered a large order of a family package plus 3 more dishes. It was cooked in front of us very quickly, packaged up beautifully in 2 boxes. While we waited for only 15mins, we saw the delicious and well filled chinese buffet, which seemed to be popular. This place definitely deserves it's great reputation. We were very impressed. Regular customer at Blowfish and have never been disappointed. Great food, great prices, and excellent service. However a couple of nights ago went to get some dinner, and ordered snapper and a steak & egg burger. It was dreadful. The snapper was far from fresh - it smelt very strongly and I couldn’t eat it. The burger was a let down as well - the egg was completely undercooked and when I opened the box the bottom was a runny mess of egg yoke and white. Went straight into the rubbish. A real shame. Won’t be going back there for a while. Will be looking for an alternative...
