Catch & Co. — Restaurant in North Island

I'm not usually one to complain, or feel the need to leave such a review, but on this occasion I do. Our experience here tonight was absolutely terrible! We orderd our fish & chips meals tonight with an additional four scallops (which we were highly looking foward to) Our meals came out with no scallops. After waiting a while we thought they may have forgotten them so we went up to ask how far away the scallops would be. They told us they had already been bought out with our meals- which I can say hand on heart they definitely were not! We then had the manager come out telling us he was the one that plated the meals and that he remembers cooking and putting the scallops with our meals. They clearly didn't believe us and treated us as if we were lying about receiving them which was VERY frustrating! There was Alot of back and forth with us trying to prove there were no scallops served to us. They finally agreed to bring us some "more" scallops out and stated that we would be charged AGAIN for the new scallops. Absolutely Terrible customer service, recieved no apologies from staff. This was our Worst fish n chips experience ever- will not be coming back. Way over priced for what it is too, the only perk was the fish was...

Guys not everyone hates hardened arteries. I like salt. I asked for extra salt. I got zilch. Its not up to you to care about my salt intake. The fact that i asked for extra ( no salt sachets on offer) would it really have hurt to sprinkle a bit on, as per my request, but to ignore it totally gets you the 2 stars. The fish itself was ok but know this as a life fact...salt makes food taste great. The lack of it in my food made the batter tasteless. The snapper tasted better ( batter :-) the blue cod..ew! Doughy fish. Very fishy smelling too which i understand is weird if the fish is fresh, overall disappointing. Put salt sachets on counter then ppl like me can just help themselves. Im travelling thru nz, i didnt have salt, but i do now!, in case of future fush n chup stops, i have my salt( himalayan pink) and watties tomato...

Bad experience, flies hanging around tables because of crumbs, grease, scraps & laziness, no de sanitization. 2 cooks were just staring through a window at customers like ogres, one of them belched & scratched his arse when he received an order which was disgusting, they looked greasy & unhygienic. When I finally got my order the chips were undercooked, unseasoned & my burger was dry, bland & tasted like crusty flavourless mush. I can make better burgers at home. The price doesn't justify the product, I could have got a combo from elsewhere for half the cost & 10 x the quality......pathetic, will never go back...
