Kawaroa Park is located next to the Todd Energy Aquatic Centre and the Kawaroa Park Squash Club on Tisch Avenue. It sprawls along the coast and has the Coastal Walkway winding through it. There is large children's playground with two slides running down the hillside. There is ample parking available but parks can get scarce during busy periods at the aquatic centre. The standout feature of Kawaroa Park is the views of the Tasman Sea and Port Taranaki. At low tide the original Kawaroa swimming pool becomes visible. The salt water pool was carved out of the volcanic rock but fell out of use many decades ago.
