Serious Complaint Regarding Excessive Takeout Orders and Lack of Wait Time Notification
I am writing to express a serious complaint about your restaurant's handling of takeout orders, particularly regarding the lack of advance notice regarding wait times. I ordered only one tofu dish but ended up waiting for 40 minutes. To ensure my child could have dinner by 6:30 PM, I called to place my order at 6:00 PM and arrived at the restaurant by 6:20 PM. However, I was informed that the kitchen was extremely busy, with only 2-3 chefs catering to all dine-in customers, while the restaurant continued to accept numerous takeout orders. This resulted in many customers, including myself, experiencing excessively long wait times. When accepting takeout orders, it is imperative that you clearly inform customers of the expected wait times, or alternatively, refrain from accepting an excessive number of orders. Food is decent, portion is good, and price is fairly low which is surprising since I have not seen these sort of prices for a long time now. Now to the problems, the attitude of the server! I felt like I was an inconvenience to her and I decided to take out instead of eat in because of that, seeing her interaction with other customers was the same and if they want to retain customers then they better start acting like it, because if someone else can offer the same price with much better service they would not be getting any return clients. Read moreI had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite booking online, I never received a confirmation email, even though it said I would (and yes, I checked my spam folder). When I called to clarify, the staff member I spoke to was rude, unhelpful, and struggled to understand my clear and slowed-down English.
When my group arrived, the atmosphere was chaotic. The staff seemed rushed and disorganized, and we had to endure long waits. The tables were dirty, covered in wipes and plastic wrap, which was very unappealing.
As for the food, it was mediocre at best. While I enjoyed the beef dish, the duck was bland and overly bony, leaving me unimpressed. To top it off, the service at the end was appalling. As we got up to pay, a staff member loudly told us to "hurry up, I’m busy," which was incredibly unprofessional.
