I’m a frequent Pocha customer and always ordered the same thing.. Garlic butter chicken. I was surprised how the serving shrinked. I was at Pocha Albany 2 days in a week and ordered the medium size chicken for lunch, then came back 3 days after for dinner and ordered the large size. When it came, it looked like the same size as the medium. The taste was also disappointing as it didn’t taste the same. I thought it was just me, but then my partner brought it up and we agreed it didn’t taste like the usual garlic butter chicken. It may have just been a miss for that order but still paid $47 for it.
Also would like to mention a few misses every time I order through UberEats. I always order extra sauce and they always mess it up. Either missing a sauce, or gave another sauce that I didn’t want. Good thing, ubereats can just refund it.
However, another time I ordered online and picked it up. It didn’t include the rice I ordered. I called and spoke to the owner about it but told me he can’t refund me but he will give me free rice the next time I come back. Not really ideal and quite embarrassing. Who would come back and ask for a free rice months after it was missing from an old order. SMH.
The owner seems nice, but a slight inconvenience wipes that smile away. Safe to say I’ll be avoiding the Albany branch from now on. I recommend doing the same. City branch...
Read morePocha in Albany is a wonderful new spot to check out! The atmosphere is vibrant, the chicken is delightfully crispy, and the service is incredibly friendly.
The restaurant features a spacious indoor dining area with a playful vibe, adorned with neon elements and quirky decor. We were seated on a cozy covered terrace, where neon lights added a fun and colorful touch to our meal, and heaters kept us warm and comfortable.
Our evening began with a couple of drinks. I tried a new cocktail on the menu called the Coco Bomb, and it was a delightful experience. The ingredients were perfectly balanced, giving the cocktail a refreshing and crisp taste with a smooth coconut finish.
When it came to the food, we indulged ourselves with both classic and new menu items. We shared a new dish called Basasak Krunch, which was a standout. The crunchy chicken covered in rice paper was incredibly flavorful and juicy. We also enjoyed a generous portion of Beef Tartare. On the side, we had Edamame, Honey Butter Chips (a Pocha classic), and Sweet Corn Butter, which was cheesy and delicious.
Overall, we had a fantastic time, enjoying the delicious food, vibrant atmosphere, and attentive service. We will definitely visit again and highly recommend you...
Read moreI recently dined at Pocha Albany with my family, and it was a delightful experience overall. The food was well-cooked and brimming with flavor. Although there was a bit of a wait for our meal, the waiter was exceptional. He went above and beyond to apologize for the delay, which he explained was due to short staffing. To make up for it, he generously offered us free soft drinks and a complimentary dish.
The only downside was the high volume of the background music. While I understand that it might be part of the restaurant's ambiance, it made it challenging for us to have a conversation without raising our voices. I shared this feedback with the waiter on our way out, and he took the feedback very professionally.
Despite the music issue, the overall experience was positive, and we appreciated the waiter’s efforts to ensure our...
