The Clubroom Albany — Local services in Upper Harbour

I purchased my last set of Cleveland wedges over 10 years ago, and decided it was time to upgrade. I went into the Clubroom Albany and spoke to Dan as he was highly recommended to me. Dan put me through a full fitting, looking at my stats, but also discussed how I liked to hit the ball with my wedges, what shots I liked to play around the green, grind options for creativity etc. I walked away with a new set of wedges

I then spoke to Dan about a month later, about putting, putter stroke, toe bias, face balance etc and Dan put me through a putter fitting, looking at my swing arc, my putter stroke, how the ball rolled off the face of each putter, etc. I also walked away with a new putter.

Today (20/12/21), I went back to see Dan yet again, but this time about Driver. We looked a number of combinations of clubhead & shaft to try and maximize ball speed, and optimize launch angle and spin rate etc. This fitting involved a lot more feedback from the numbers, but Dan still wanted me to focus on how the driver felt, in conjunction with the results. At the end of the session, there were a few options that had actually produced very good results, but there definitely was one combination that simply worked better for me... so now I have a new driver also!

Fantastic facilities, very professional and knowledgeable staff, and a huge range of options to suit anyone. I cannot recommend The Clubroom...

The team at the Clubroom Albany were absolutely fantastic to deal with. I bought a Titleist cart bag online, after struggling to find anyone in NZ stocking it. Unfortunately the first bag I received was incorrect (although very similar) and the team got straight on sourcing me a the correct one. Other businesses had told me I'd be looking at 6 months to import a bag from Aus, by Clubroom had the correct bag on my doorstep in 2 weeks (in Southland too, might I add) including a packing slip to send the other one back.
