I recently tried the skewers and sweet and sour pork and I must say I was quite disappointed with the overall taste and quality. The skewers were served cold, which significantly affected the enjoyment of the meal. The sweet and sour fried pork was especially underwhelming; the pork slices were extremely thin, almost resembling fried paper. The lack of thickness and texture really detracted from the experience.
I had high expectations for the flavors, but unfortunately, they were quite average and failed to leave a lasting impression. I was hoping for a more satisfying meal, but it fell short of my expectations.

Read moreContext: two pakeha turning up around 8:00pm on a Saturday. food was better than expected and the quality of the lamb chop and beef chunks was good. chicken skin was excellent cauliflower was excellent service was excellent and very quick dumplings were just misc brand frozen dumplings and maybe a 3/10 table we were sitting at had a constant stream of freezing air on my side from the gap in the door that's permanently closed but not sealed. Very annoying if I'm being honest. Won't be an issue in summer.
We spent $100 for dinner including a drink each. Could easily spend $150 if you have a few drinks and get the expensive skewers.

It was deep fried battered ribs and deep fried battered whole shrimp. Which included the carapace, legs and green goo. A few extra carapace were thrown in for good measure. This was presented in an 8 inch high heap on a 6 inch wide sizzling platter. No plate. After waitiing 10 minutes for the pile of grease, gristle and guts to cool off I went and asked for a plate. I got another tiny appetizer plate for the spoils. The ribs were not identifiable. There was some thin strips of meat on them but the batter and grease dominated. A...
