Hi Sticky Fingers,
I am always fan of your coffee & bakery because that always amazed me. On 31 July, I tried salty caramel milk shake, expecting the same good quality as usual, However, it was very disappointing. Actually, sorry to say this milk shake was not as good as any milkshake I tried from north to south across NZ. The cream on top was so huge and it totally dominated the milk shake in that small plastic cup. I saw the lady added normal fat milk, condensed caramel, iced. So why should a customer pay 9 dollars for someting which can be easily made at home?
Last but not least, I appreciate all the staff's service because they were so friendly and happy to recommend me good stuff except expect one lady. Her accent was non UK, US or Kiwi. Me and my friend have seen not once that she changed her attitude when serving different customers. To be more specific, she treated people differently depending on the nationality . A welcoming tone appears when a westerner is stannding in frint of her whilst the big smile goes frozen when the customer was an asian like me, my friend and other non-white guest. Last week same day, she even did not advise me after the milk shake was made. Instead, she left it on the counter and left. Everyone is busy, so I gather she is the most busiest one in Sticky Fingers so that's why she cannot be bothered to treat Asian with equal respect?
I actually sent a feedback on the day after I purchased, but no one has replied me after 7 days . So I am posting here today, trully hoping management could kindly look into this if they...
Read morethis place is truely a Hidden gem. I came in on a Sunday morning and was impressed by the variety of savoury and sweet food available behind the cabinets and also the food available on their breakfast and other food menu. I got a beautiful roast vege salad, a potato and bacon salad, beef nachos served with yummy corn chips, cheese and a generous portion of sour cream, a yummy porridge with sliced banana, pineapple, berry compot and cream to pour over the top, and a piece of banoffee pie. I wanted to go back for more of the roast vege salad it was so delicious and fresh and filled with capsicum, courgette, fresh spinach leaves, and a couple of other veg .. not full of potato like other roast veg salads from other cafes. there was a range of scones, pies, cakes, soup of the day, salads plus a full breakfast menu with everything from eggs benni, waffles ect. I'm deffinatly going back to try. And the food i got they did take away for me and the nice man even helped me open the door to the cafe to my car with the thoughtfully boxed food items. Thanks for our...
Read moreFood was average and service was exceptionally poor. Waitress got my order wrong at tthetill and I had to correct her. Then I got yelled at by the same waitress because she brought out the wrong order and told me I was wrong and that is what I ordered. Then she said oh you look like another girl who ordered that. Okay? Fix your ordering process then. It was humiliating. My friends got the cooked breakfast, but their eggs were overdone. I got the hotcakes, which were bland and doused in an exceptional amount of syrup. Near the end, the waitress brought us little slices to apologise. It was a shame we had already paid, or I would have refused to pay.
I also accidentally left my cardigan there. Went back the next day to be told no you didn't by the same waitress! I asked if there was video footage and she said yes, so I asked to speak with the manager, who was busy in conversation. I waited, but wasn't even acknowledged. Eventually, the waitress said to leave my details and he would give me a call. I received no calls....
