Mrs Bun&Dumpling — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

Dumpling pastry did not taste fresh, they make their own here however the edges were very dry and stale.

The main pork belly with rice dish did not have that deep rich flavor from cooking it for a long time like other Chinese places so was lacking.

The pork noodle ramen was OK however lots of the noodles were stuck togeather.

The Child seat was very dirty. We had to wipe it down ourselves and the cloths were very black from all the dirt and food stuck on them, even our daughter was reluctant to sit in it.

The table side soy sauce, chilli and vinegar were very greasy from peoples dirty hands being all over them and the chilli was almost finished. I recommend that these are topped up and wiped...

I’ve come here about 5 times in the past few months, food is always good. But I feel the service has been lacking recently. I recall previously the owner “I think” thanking people and the food being brought to a tables etc. Really great experience overall.

Now simple things, like a polite greeting, or asking if I’m dining in or takeaway have gone missing, making me eat from a plastic container whilst dining in, and member pricing not being offered even though I’m a regular… buzzer discs for your order etc.

I’ll be back as the food is good, but I hope they can fix a few of the basics for a more...

Really enjoyed this place, was a light atmosphere but this was a Sunday, not sure what it is like during the working days. Kai very good though, the dumplings were absolutely exceptional. Lovely people that run this place, very friendly and happy. Only moan is size of eating area (not much room) & the lack of cooling inside (summer), however there is a couple of outside seats which we should have probably gone too.
